I liked the idea of this originally of having a magnet base an a free magnet that you can rotate for easy use of your webcam if needed. I have a Macbook Pro Retina and the magnet sizes worked just fine in covering the webcam and it's a small detail added to your computer. The only thing is the base magnet that doesn't move is made to be taped/stuck onto your laptop with a small sticker like tape. When I originally bought it I thought it would just stay on your laptop magnetically like other shields without any assistance though in this case it is the free moving magnet that is magnetized to the taped down magnet. It worked fine at first but for me without moving it or touching it the tape started to become less and less sticky and eventually came off. And getting double-sided tape and somehow cutting it to fit the base magnet (which is like the diameter of a pen cap) it's become pretty useless. Also when the magnets were still stuck on to my laptop the free moving magnet sometimes came off to the bottom of my laptop where my trackpad is, I guess the magnet strength just isn't that strong. Though cheap and I like the magnetic free moving aspect of it, I feel there are other better, long-term shields on the market.
