Shortlisted for the Books Are My Bag 2020 Readers Awards 'With a bolt of lightning on my kicks . . . The court is SIZZLING. My sweat is DRIZZLING. Stop all that quivering. 'Cuz tonight I'm delivering,' raps twelve-year-old Josh Bell. Thanks to their dad, he and his twin brother, Jordan, are kings on the court. But Josh has more than basketball in his blood โ he's got mad beats, too, which help him find his rhythm when it's all on the line. See the Bell family in a whole new light through Dawud Anyabwile's dynamic illustrations as the brothers' winning season unfolds, and the world as they know it begins to change. Review: Parfait merci - Parfait merci Review: 5 Stars - Henry M in my Y5 class writes, 'Th is is my personal favourite book. It's based on a fantastic reality. The twists and turns and what the twins had to go through. Their dad is a former NBA Pro basketball player. His name is Chuck (Da'Man). But since he tried to dunk, something happens, something tragic happens. Closer to the end, the twins (Josh and Jordan/JB) find out what happened. JB has long hair and luxurious gold locks, but after him and Josh made a bet that if they don't win, JB has to cut his hair. I would recommend to Year 5 readers or older and I would definitely give it 5 stars.
