I wanted to cut back on buying bottled water and decided on a pitcher filter. I looked at several filters before deciding on the Brita 6 Cup Water Filter Pitcher.This pitcher is supposed to filter out impurities and contaminants found in tap water.I really like the size of the pitcher it’s easy to handle and pour. The handle is comfortable and the lid fits snug. It fits in the refrigerator or countertop and doesn’t take up a lot of space.The pitcher is made from BPA-free.It comes with a standard filter that was easy to install. The manual suggests changing filter every 2 months or 40 gallons.Its easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher.I like the reset with flashing green/red light so you don’t forget to change the filter.The water does taste a lot better out of the filter than the tap. We refill the pitcher two or three times per day. Only 40 gallons per filter so order extra filters. Overall, the quality is good, it’s easy to use and clean. I would highly recommend the Brita water filter pitcher.

I had a larger Brita pitcher years ago and didn't like it. I needed one and after a long time, decided to give Brita another chance. This newer generation is really nice. I couldn't get the lid to stay on the old one and it would fall off as I was pouring water out (deal breaker for me and why I tossed the old one). The lid on this model fits well and is secure in place with an easy to read/understand indicator that tells me when the filter needs replaced.The water has a pleasant flavor. Kind of a misnomer because there isn't much flavor, which is what I was looking for. My tap water often has a heavy chlorine content and at certain times of the year, there is a strange algae-like quality to it. Hence my need. The filtered water from this pitcher is clean with no residue or sediment.It's easy to use and easy to clean. I recommend reading the care instructions before you use it. I was able to get the insert out to wash it rather easily and putting the filter in was pretty self-explanatory. There is a "right way" to put it in and it sort of "clicks" into place.I've only been using it 2 or 3 weeks, but so far this one is MUCH better than previous versions of it.

This Brita pitcher is perfect for small spaces like apartments or dorms. It fits easily in the fridge and holds just the right amount for one or two people. I miss not having the 10 cup. ..bring it back at an decent price. This one works well but you have to refill it ALOT and I am unsure about the filler sitting in the water base.

When I got this small pitcher a few days ago, I didn't even bother to take off the wrapping. I thought "This is WAAAAY to small!". Then, when I was going to have to pay 5.99 to return it, I thought I'd take it home and see if I could use it. When I finally opened it and got water in it, I realized it's EXACTLY what I wanted. I was using a larger Brita dispenser which was too heavy and too much water. With this smaller one, I can drink all 36 ounces within a couple of hours and then fill it again. It's perfect - and it's white! I can leave it on the counter and it matches all of my other appliances. So glad I didn't return it!

Ok....this Brita filter pitcher is the best I've known or owned. Initially, I thought 5 cups would be too small, but when recieved it was practically the same size of my old Brita and Culligan pitchers. You know you can always add more than 5 cups, as I fill it twice and it still has space between the filtered water and the bottom of the fill reservoir. The design changes are subtle but excellent!! First of all the handle is wider, more curved and ergonomic for better handling when heavy from water. Second, the lid is secure and tight and won't fall off when pouring or mix with unfiltered water. Third, they removed the cheap opening and closing pouring tab from the front that always fell off or broke. (Really unnecessary). Finally the new type of filter which is taller, doesn't fall out when pouring, and filters water 3xs quicker. It is the very best!!! The water has a great taste!!!
