The Stylist Takes Manhattan: A Novel (The Amber Green Series Book 2)

Boring
Strong baseline plot, made me want to read this book after the first one. But the author can’t seem to pick a side. Did she want this book to be a philosophical essay or a frothy comedy. She lands somewhere in the middle and not in a good way either. For a strong story it got boring in parts and the ending was way too eye-roll hyperbolic. Very disappointing.

Great 2 book series
Fun read! These two novels are a quick fun read. The main character is a lovely girl who you can’t help but root for.

Fast read but really entertaining!
I loved these two books, and I really hope we get more. Both Stylists books are quick reads, but they're cute and fun. Amber is highly likeable and relatable, and you want to root for her. But I like that it doesn't end in a too-neat revenge, it feels like you're just reading about a friend and it actually happened. The only downside for me was that Vicki is an absolutely horrible character and horrible friend, and she never comes to this realization and Amber keeps letting Vicki take advantage of her, right up to the end. Hopefully if the series continues that will be resolved.

Probably the worest book I have read
Very easy book to read however the plot is beyond stupid. Complete waste of time.

Love!!!
Amber is someone we can all related to. Insecure at times, but also strong and funny. Definitely don’t want to put this book down!

Fun flirty and fashion
This was a great read with a likeable if flawed protagonist whose vices will seem familiar to most of us today. This book (as with the first one) is a great read for Sophie Kinsella fans. It’s easy to picture a world where Amber and Becky meet and become great friends as they mix with the heroines of Lauren Weisberger’s Manhattan.
