Billion Dollar Enemy (Seattle Billionaires Book 1)
He was going to take down their book store and build a hotel. This book store was the oldest in the city. The grand daughter and her closest friend tried to fight to keep it open. Made a deal with the owner that if they turned a profit within a two months that they would keep the book store in the new hotel. That's just the beginning of this story. This book was absolutely incredible to read, kept you turning pages. Funny at times and kept you expecting whatever that was going to happen next! Enough of that now, because I don't want to ruin this story for you all. Just read it and relax into a great little story. The author has out done her self with this series. Of course you can read this book as a standalone. ENJOY!!!

Love it
Love the banter, love the fact that they gave each a boost and it didn't take long for them to realize they are good together.I Wish Chole was arrested. Glad Karli got her true business going. It was really a good read.

Refreshingly engaging
For once this is a "billionaire" book that doesn't follow the the cringe-worthy trope of conflict based on miscommunication.Cole knows what he wants and goes for it. While Skye makes (relatively) logical decisions. The conflict is believable, while also moving the story along. It is a little slow in the beginning, but I found it affords the necessary time for character build. The romance burns hot, but fast; meaning... I would have like for it to be a tad more lengthy... Yet, it does deliver a few "lip-biting" intimate scenes that will leave you putting the book down and seeking out your partner ;)I gave 4 stars because of a few errors; though not overwhelming, there are enough to break up the smooth reading experience. Also, her descriptive writing style is not my preference; meaning incomplete, and grammatically incorrect sentence structures. (... a sentence shouldn't end with a prepositional phrase. But, as I mentioned, that's a personal preference)Lastly, my preference for intimate scenes is a little more... NC-17, so I found this books scenes a little "wanting". But, if one were to prefer a little more "soft-core".... this book definitely delivers! =POverall, the Cole & Skye dynamic is strong, steamy, intriguing, and engaging. Enough so, that I bought the second book.As it stands, I would recommend this book!

I had this book on my to-be-read list for a while, and It looked good to read for something in-between the series I am currently in. This was exactly the story I needed, Romantic, with no drama, smooth flow, and a beautiful hea!

Good read
I am becoming more and more of a fan of a Olivia Hayles books. They are light, fun and spicy reads. I blow through them and even though most of the story lines seem to be the same, each story is still unique in its own way which makes each book enjoyable.

Bookstore romance
It has a bookstore and it a billionaire romance. I love bookstores apparently even in books. There is also the witty banter between Skye and her leading man.

Good start to the Seattle Billionaire Series
I don't remember what first attracted me to this book. Probably the "enemy" in the title. I love a good enemies to lovers story. I usually avoid billionaires but I was in a rut and needed something different. This was a good choice. This author is new to me so I wasn't sure what to expect. What I got was a decently written story that was maybe a little weak in areas. Fortunately, she does a fantastic job with dialogue between the MCs. It pretty much held the book together. Our billionaire, Cole, wasn't an arrogant alpha male but was certainly not a pushover either. He was a good balance of both. He came across as intelligent, hard working, and had a great sense of humor. He was able to communicate in an adult manner which is refreshing. Skye had some weaknesses, mainly she was a giver and a people pleaser but she was able to conquer this by the end of the book. She was also able to communicate as an adult. Their conflicts may have involved miscommunication but they were both able to actively work things out and move forward with the story. The side characters were all just side characters. They fulfilled their purpose. Only one stood out to me and not for a good reason. Timmy. Does anyone name their child that anymore? Tim or Timothy is commonplace but Timmy makes me think of the handicapped boy in A Christmas Carol. That and the character in South Park. Also, I got a vague impression that the author doesn't have much experience with children. While the dialogue between Cole and Skye was fantastic, the entire feel of the book changed whenever Timmy was in the vicinity. Every time there was a conversation with Timmy I kept thinking to myself "Hello. This is the 1950s calling. Can you please send little Timmy back to us?". However, there may be another reason that conversations with Timmy seemed a bit off to me. The author called the baseball field "the pitch" and used "university" instead of "the university". I'm not sure she is American. I will have to look when I am through here. This wasn't the steamiest book I've ever read but steam isn't always necessary to make a story happen. Overall, I liked the book and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a easy going low angst book to read. I'm giving this 3.5 stars. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Heartwarming with a bit of spice
I would definitely recommend this series, I've read book 1 and 2 of the Seattle Billionaires series and thoroughly enjoyed both.I did notice some inconsistencies with both books which is a little disappointing/distracting.The inconsistencies I noticed, in this book (1): Cole surmises that Timmy in 10 years old, Timmy confirms his age to be 8 years old, because he says he's almost turning 9. Later when Skye is thinking about her nephew (Timmy), she refers to him as a 10 years old. This all occurs during a 2 month time span.In the other book (2): Blair notes Cole pouring Nick a brandy, then in the same scene she refers to Nick taking a sip of his whisky. Two completely different spirits.Don't get me wrong these oversights are not deal breakers, the characters and their stories are great, but I don't know how these things slip through unnoticed prior to been published.

Another great read.
Takes you into another world, one of great wealth, where nothing is impossible. One draw back for me in novels like this, the main male characters are always so young. All seem to be under 40 and yet have so much! Experience of work as well!loved the story line, loved the banter and sense of humour especially, though I thought the ending was very similar to 50 Shades of Grey. This book describes the struggles of independent shops, it effect on the community and how two women took on the mighty big company. This novel like all this authors other books, I think is written well. The sexual scenes are especially tingly. Well with 4 stars.

You’ve got Mail without the glaringly terrible secret at it’s core
Full disclosure - I am an Olivia Hayle fan. This is You’ve got Mail (billionaire wants to tear down a family run bookstore to make a hotel) without the central problematic lie which still annoys me to this day (Skye knows exactly who Cole is). They have a one night stand at the start and then they discover who each other is.I love the banter in this book. Although it is touted as enemies to lovers, I never got enemies. There was not enough fire and so much underlying flirting to the banter - it was clear that they were never going to hate each other.I loved them both but I appreciated Skye’s ambition and drive - she was such a wonderful heroine.Sexy, funny, charming and full of good vibes - the perfect Sunday pick me up treat. I will be picking up the next in the series

Recommend
Site and Cole are complete opposites. He is a billionaire developer who is determined to rip down her hopes and dreams, she is the want to be writer/author who works in a book shop. However for one night they were close and spent a magical night together. Can she forgive him for wanting to destroy her childhood sanctuary and can he get over past hurt and betrayal to let her are the real Cole? This book has strong characters and was difficult to put down

Well written love story
Skye decides that she needs to go people watching to get inspiration for the book she is trying to write and in doing so catches the attention of one very dishy male when she goes to a upmarket bar. Little does she know that Cole owns the bar and after an enjoyable evening talking the offer of going to his room is accepted. She leaves before he wakes and Cole cant get her out of his mind until he finds out that the beautiful Skye works at the bookshop he wants to tear down. Its nicely written and I liked that Cole was constantly wanting her and she had no idea.
