Maria Nila Cleansing Powder – Freshens Dry Hair 60 g

For the price, I'm glad this does actually work! It really freshens up my hair, just as good as say Batiste spray. The only issue for me is that it's a bit messy. I have tried putting it directly on my hair (this tends to give you too much) and have now settled on putting it on my hands and rubbing together before applying. But no matter what you do it will end up on the floor and any nearby surface! However I think it's worth the slight mess. The powder is easy to clean up, it works well as I said, the freshness lasts for hours, and most importantly for me it doesn't make my scalp itchy like the sprays tend to do. Also it smells lovely and you really don't need to use much so I think it should last much much longer than the sprays too. So yes I'd recommend it!

I was tired of the sprays sold in usual retailers being bad for the environment and running low super quickly so gave this a try. I've used it about 20 times or so - not only does it very efficiently (and durably) freshen up my scalp, but there's still a lot more to go so definitely worth the money. I'm only giving it four stars due to the fragrance. It's not utterly unpleasant but I'm quite sensitive to smells (I usually go for unscented sprays) and this product is way too fragrant for me. A more cotton-y or powdery fragrance, or an unscented version would get five stars from me.

I love this dry shampoo - it's all natural, smells lovely and feels light on my hair and scalp. It's a game-changer for getting a extra day's mileage out of unwashed hair, but also helps with styling on clean hair by adding a bit of grip. It doesn't irritate my scalp and no aerosol means no bad fumes to inhale. Of course that means you have to be a bit careful with application, as it's a fine powder but it brushes off clothes with a damp cloth.

Really happy with this, the sprays I find make my head itch and smell too strong, a little sprinkle of this and my hair was lifted and no longer greasy, don’t smell of much really, I just used a mirror so it wasn’t messy at all, super easy and you only need a tiny bit, will last a long time!

This product is so much better than the aerosol dry shampoos that leave a greasy sticky white residue in your hair and can be difficult to wash out. This smells so fresh and a little goes a long way! It's also easier to rub in and absolutely no bother to wash out. I've also discovered that if I use a little on my roots immediately after washing and blow drying it actually prolongs the freshness of my hair. The price seemed a little high when I was first considering purchasing this but I've discovered that it's actually great value as I've been using it for months and still have tons left. I will definitely repurchase when it finally runs out and will never use aerosol dry shampoo again.

Expensive but works well and has a pleasant smell.

I’m thrilled with this product. I bought it for my elderly aunt (92), who sadly has dementia. My aunt’s hairdresser visits her every two weeks for a shampoo and set, but her hair does really need washing in between hairdresser visits. Because of my aunt’s dementia, my aunt doesn’t like having her hair washed now in the traditional way, water and shampoo, so her carer and I thought we would try some dry shampoos…… …….and what a success this one has been. We are all thrilled. It doesn’t make her scalp itch or anything else negative. The powder properly freshens up her hair and her carer says it is easy to apply. After applying, my aunt’s hair appears fuller and with a lighter, brighter shade of her soft grey. It absorbs all of the grease etc. Really great product and, more importantly, saves my dear aunt the distress of us trying to wash her hair in the traditional way. Will be back for more Only too happy to recommend

Absolute waste of money. Combed it through my hair and it did not change a thing. Still looked in bad need of a wash. Even if it worked it would not be easy to apply, so it's back to the aerosols unfortunately. Upset I spent£14 on this.

I love the dry shampoo. I’ve tried different dry shampoos and I keep coming back for this one and throwing the others away. It smells great. I have no scalp irritation from it. It immediately goes to work. It is a little hard to get out because it has one small hole in the center and it’s not easy to shake. You have to squeeze a little so you can get too much.
