The author is absolutely correct that good posture, inverted yoga and some other exercises will help a lot. There aren't many books about natural healing. Unfortunately, this book is filled with spelling and grammatic errors, just not acceptable for a 4th edition. The author seems to be a really nice guy; he makes nearly 50% of his book available for free online, and is genuinely interested in helping people. He even offers consultation over skype for a fee if you want it. He also offfers his own blend of medication to help. Nonetheless, if you're suffering from this type of pain, the money you spend on this books is nothing compared to cost of medication, or surgery, or doing nothing at all and letting things get worse. I disagree on standing desk; that can make things worse esp if you cannot maintain good posture. It's better to sit, or alternate between sitting and standing, or take frequent breaks. My recommendation to all those suffering is to keep back straight as possible at all times esp walking or standing. Do inverted yoga such as shoulder stand; if that's too much, then even putting your legs against a wall or sofa will help a lot if done daily. Do exercise that focus on your core and pelvis. Next is diet, cut out the junk foods and eat whole foods whenever possible. Also, see a good qualified physical therapist to get your pelvis, hips, legs and feet evaluated; make sure they are all lined up properly; a lot of times, pains in legs can lead to varicocele if you do nothing over long periods of time. One type of pain can lead to another if left unchecked and ignored. Working with a good qualified chiropractor also helps a lot. A lot of people do not even properly take care of their own health until it's too late. Remember the worst thing you can do is nothing and ignore the pains hoping it will go away on its own.
