I wanted a tea strainer that wasn't all plastic. This fit the bill perfectly. I worry about plastic and anything I consume. This is a very fine mesh. It fits my mug (not into dainty little teacups, lol) and it it STURDY! I think it'll last a long time and I will use it for years to come.DISCLOSUREI wanted something like this and shopped for it. A few weeks ago I bought a new loose leaf tea that when steeped in my silicone tea infuser the leaves went right through the holes and into my cup. I ended up having to strain it afterwards with a metal strainer or put the tea in cheesecloth and then put that in the silicone tea infuser. This quickly got tedious so I was looking for a new strainer that would handle the tiny leaves of my tea. This one was absolutely perfect. I have used it several times now and I haven't had a single problem with any of the tea leaves leaking through the holes. Also, because it sits over your cup, it keeps the heat in wonderfully. It provides a much stronger flavor since the leaves are able to move around instead of being constrained in a smaller silicone infuser. This tea infuser is really easy to clean and a normal dish brush fits right into it. I would highly recommend this tea infuser strainer for anyone who loves loose tea and is having problems with leaves leaking through the holes. Crafted, packaged and prepped with craftsmanship and attention to detail. The mesh is fine, uniform and very well polished. The rubber on the handles and lid is well secured and substantially thick enough to protect your fingers from the heat, as well as last a while. Very happy with it.
