Limited double 180gm vinyl LP pressing. It has been remastered from original analog tapes by Keven Reeves to 192kHz 24-bit audio and then cut on copper plates using Abbey Road Mastering's Direct Metal Mastering (DMM) lathe. The original artwork has been faithfully reproduced. The Allman Brothers Band is the debut studio album by the Allman Brothers Band. It was released in the United States by Atco Records and Capricorn Records on November 4, 1969 and produced by Adrian Barber. The album was recorded and mixed in two weeks at Atlantic Studios in New York City. Much of the material presented was premiered live over the preceding months and combines blues, jazz and country music to varying degrees. It includes re-workings of "Trouble No More" and "Don't Want You No More, " as well as notable originals such as "Dreams", which highlighted the band's jazz influence, and "Whipping Post", which soon became a crowd favorite. Although the group was arranged to work with producer Tom Dowd (whose credits included Cream and John Coltrane), he was unavailable, and they instead recorded with house engineer Adrian Barber.

THE FIRST LP OF WHAT BECAME A VERY LONG CAREER "THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND"
THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND started off what was a continuing career for what still is a great band even though both of the brothers have now passed away now. The ALLMAN BROTHERS THEMSELVES Duane and GREGG were both exceptional musicians and kept on holding down the name place spots in the band that bore their name. This LP, which is the very first of their career has some of the very best in their careers, WHIPPING POST, EVERY HUNGRY WOMAN, these rocking blues songs are without a doubt some of their feature best tracks.

What the F!!!
I don't know what the F is going on with the LPs I received in the mail, but those are some of the most disappointing pressings I have ever heard. The first track, Don't Want You No More, is far away cry from its audiophile grade due to multiple skips and surface pops. I don't think the issue was caused by how Amazon handled the product at its wearhouse in Kentucky since the album jacket is pretty clean.

Fantastic release!
I held off on purchasing this vinyl lp based on the one star review, then decided to take a chance and ordered it. I'm sure glad I bought it. No need to review the music, speaks for itself. The pressing is excellent, no flaws like the previous reviewer experienced. Sound quality is fantastic. This is a two record set. The original release mix and the 1973 beginnings mix. If you like the Allman brothers go for it.

OBRA MAESTRA

Great playlist
I put off buying this album for a while because of the bad review it initially received. Wish I hadn’t waited because this release is really, really good. The remaster is solid and I absolutely love the song sequence. Grew up on this music and it had a strong influence on my love for blues based music. Plus you get a second album included with it.
