Impressively detailed and great final result!
This is fantastic model and the detailing is superb throughout. I love the look of the Flying Dutchman and the LEDs bring it to light. All the additional elements that build up as you go such as the ghost faces on the portholes, the extra panelling and so on, really add depth to the model and makes you think they could have just stopped there with some of the details, only to find they keep adding more. What's especially good is that no two components are exactly the same - different graphic detailing on everything means they didn't just copy/paste from one side to the other. Instructions are easy to follow and the build was a lot of fun - just being cardboard, take your time! Some parts were tricky to slot together because if you don't have something correctly lined up earlier, then later when you need to attach an adjoining piece you could find it won't reach. Some tips - pinch the ends of the tabs before insertion so they go in easier At the end, many of the wasted punched out pieces I was able to use to fill in gaps were pieces didn't quite go flush together and where light from the LEDs bled through. Those little centimetre long panel pieces that you'd throw away were excellent for glueing into the gaps and blocking up the bleed in many places.

Absolutely brilliant!
I absolutely love doing these! PLEASE RELEASE MORE!! First, I made the Flying Dutchman. I loved this ship in the movies, so it was a no brainier. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed making it, and how cool it looks when complete. This promoted me to quickly purchase and build the red Queen Anne’s Revenge. This one was also really fun to build, and so much detail! I love the rear window and the gold detailing that goes on. I had to finish the set. So I have just today completed the black Queen Anne’s Revenge (The Black Pearl). Difficulty wise:Queen Anne’s Revenge was definitely the easiest one to complete, so a good starting point if you want to do them all. This was followed by the Flying Dutchman as the sort of middle ground. The front mouth was quite tricky at times. Oddly, the most difficult of them all was the black variation of the Queen Anne’s Revenge aka, Black Pearl. There is a lot of really tricky parts in this, small pieces and the sails/masts are a lot harder to get together and keep together when attaching to the main ship. Like other reviews, I was a little disappointed that the cannons on this one are also card, unlike the plastic ones in the other ships. But overall, I highly recommend anyone to give these all a go. I had great fun and I think I’ll carry on and do some others from the range. *Please do Silent Mary from Pirates Of The Caribbean!! Edit (again) I have just completed the San Felipe. This was another really enjoyable one to do. The colours on this one are amazing, and it really does stand out. The Mary Rose would be a great release too!

Quite easy to build and makes a great display piece!
I spent about a year, on and off, putting this together when I had some time. Overall the instructions are reasonably clear and it's not difficult to put together, just takes a bit of time and some of it is quite fiddly, especially towards the end. The only reason I knocked a star off is because one of the front pieces tore in half, I contacted the seller to ask for a replacement piece but they were unable to send me just one part. Also one of the "rope" pieces that comes down from the back sail simply doesn't seem long enough to slot into place one end without coming out of the other. Looking through other review pictures it seems everybody has ended up with a slightly different looking ship at the end so I guess it has a lot to do with whether you fully slot everything into place early on. While the build quality is good enough, it does feel a bit flimsy and I'm scared to ever touch it again, but other than that I had a great time building it and am happy with the final result.

Awesome model for my first 3D puzzle, nice challenge, and cool lights
This was my first ever 3D puzzle and though I was hesitant to try this it turned out great, such a gorgeous ship ! The instructions were clear and pieces were easy to put together, for the most part - the trickiest and most fiddly parts are the masts. There were times I had to backtrack because if you follow them chronologically some parts seem impossible to put together without accidentally creasing/ damaging the pieces. Also some of the pieces weren't properly cut so I ended up inadvertently ripping off tiny bits of the printing, although they aren't noticeable in the final piece. I just used a scalpel to cut them if they got stuck. Overall it took me a day and a half and was a lot of fun!

Not as easy as the manufacturers would have you think.
Not as easy as you’d think. I’m still having tabs from the first stages pop out all over the place and I haven’t finished it yet. How to approach these kits, and the amount of bending of the pieces actually require just isn’t explained. And having to look on YouTube shouldnt have to be the case. It’ll be an impressive model when done.-the LED systems are fantastic, (and should be sold separately please ! ) but expect some head scratching on how to get that tab to stay in its slot…
