Makes a yummy guilt free snack and easy to clean
I love this! It's easy to use, easy to clean, and makes an unlimited variety. I set out a variety of frozen fruit for 10 minutes, then put different combinations in single serve containers in freezer. Guilt free snack available at all times! Frozen sorbet needs to be allowed to thaw slightly before eating. I always use some banana for texture, but always use other fruit for taste. So far my favorite is red grapes (wash and freeze whole). They are great alone or mixed. Another good combo is strawberry kiwi lime. Tip: the membrane between lime sections has to be removed before freezing, but it's easy after peel is cut off and lime cut into smaller pieces. Orange sections grind up completely and are tasty. Frozen peaches need to sit at room temperature for longer than 10 minutes. Those babies are rugged! Also good is cantaloupe and any berries or cherries. Haven't tried apples yet. I can't wait to try watermelon! Just know that it DOES make noise - it's an electric grinder. It also doesn't change the taste of fruit, just the temperature and texture, so it won't make you like fruit if you don't already. Also, you have to clean up right away (one reviewer was disappointed at the mess on the counter when left to melt). I just rinse 5 parts with hot water, and occasionally put them in the dishwasher. Comes apart and goes together very easily. I bought one for my mom too! She wanted one after I told her about it.

Better than dole whip! Make your own at home!
Better than dole whip! I love how easy this is to use and clean! You can make a clean, healthy, sweet treat easily at home. The consistency is amazing! I'm very picky about ingredients and I love that I can pick my own and don't have to buy a pre-made mix or wait a long time for it to be ready. If you have frozen fruit you can have a heavenly dessert in no time!

Awesome treat maker
I have been wanting this for so long. The frozen fruit really does come out like ice cream. I used bananas, strawberries, and mango. Delicious and I didn’t add sugar. It only takes a couple of minutes to get a bowl full. Easy to take apart and clean. The only thing I don’t like about it is it’s very loud. Other than that I love it.

Fantastic Purchase - I Love My Yonanas!
My husband & I LOVE our Yonanas! It's so easy to use, and super simple to clean. We used to have a juicer, but I hated cleaning it - Yonanas is a piece of cake. You can wash it in the sink in 5 minutes, or stick the various parts in the dishwasher. I would say the consistency of the Yonanas is less like a soft serve, and more like a sorbet, but it's super yummy. It's fun to mix & match all the fruits, and is a great solution to all of those spotty bananas no one wants to eat! It's important to freeze the bananas in advance (peel them first), then let them thaw around 7-8 minutes. We've mixed in strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, and even some pieces of chocolate. So yummy! Fantastic if you're vegan, lactose, or gluten free. Yonanas also comes with a great recipe book that includes cakes, pies, and some boozy adult treats! 10/10 and i'm buying another one to give to my parents!

Just buy it
I been meaning to get one but i wasnt fully bought on it. Saw that amazon offered me a coupon for it n just pulled the trigger. Im glad i did, has a learning curve for when to add fruit to it. I had two jams that almost made me give up on it. But totally my fault after watching videos. Cant just shove frozen fruit strait from freezer. I put them in microwave for 10 ish seconds and that helps the machine a lot more. So far i been making Banana sorbet since i love them. I will start investing on more fruit now. I been cutting all my vices; smoking, alcohol and now the high sugar intake from snacks. Eating fruit sorbet is like cheating! Way better than eating a regular banana. Freezing fruit changes the whole structure of the fruit. Make it sweeter and very soft. I can now make batches and make sure my mom is also enjoying healthier ice cream not worrying we are eating too much sugar and alternative junk they inject into store bought stuff. Now for the meh part; Cleaning may be a bummer if you had a jam happen. Opening the drum is messy and have to scoop out the extra still stuck in there by hand. But other than that? Runs fine, again make sure the fruit is soft freeze before using or it will jam fast. Wish it came with a cleaning brush or handle to manual jam deterrent without opening it.

Questionable Build Quality
This device does work to turn frozen fruit into a sorbet like desert. I add a little sugar to mine but it's purely a personal taste. The first problem is that you can't actually use frozen fruit, it can't handle how hard it is when it comes out of the freezer. I've found that I have to leave bananas out of the freezer for 10 minutes and the berries for 5 to 7 minutes if I lay them flat on a pan. If you do try to run fully frozen fruit it sound like it's tearing itself apart. When you clean it you will find that quite a bit of the fruit doesn't make it out of the machine and into your bowl, I've started taking it apart when I'm done and then I scrape the remaining fruit out into the bowl. The blades are nothing but little metal triangles stuck into a plastic cone shaped holder. I'm guessing that they are trying to scrape the outside of the fruit but the openings are too large so I get a lot of chunks that ruin the smooth texture of the parts that came out correctly. We've made maybe a dozen batches so far and I can see that the chunks are getting larger and the sound when it's running gets worse. I don't expect that this is going to last much longer.

Didn't expect it to work- happily wrong.
I found this after googling "paleo ice cream" and bought it right away. It arrived, and I had already peeled frozen bananas waiting in the freezer. It came already assembled, and the only thing I had to do was plug it in. I read the instructions, and thawed my bananas for fifteen minutes. It does say in one area of the booklet to thaw for five minutes, but in a different area it states 15. Go for the 15. Five minutes would have resulted in ice chips, I feel. I dropped one banana in, and then a handful of chocolate chips, and then pushed another banana in, and out came amazing soft serve banana-chocolate chip ice cream, with no weird fillers, no weird chemicals, and no weird fake colors. I was shocked. You see these things on tv and don't actually expect them to work as described, but this one made ice cream like a champ. For what it's worth, the booklet that comes with the machine suggests over and over to use "cheetah spotted bananas" because they're sweeter, but I prefer a stronger banana flavor and less sweetness, so I was perfectly happy using fresh bananas. They don't affect the actually yonana consistency. Some notes. I had no issues with leaking, but I did make sure the leak stopping gasket was installed correctly, per instruction booklet. It wasn't hard. I had no issues with clean up. While your ice cream is sitting on the counter doing its thing, it takes a literal sixty seconds to pop the Yonana maker apart and rinse clean. For people who say a lot of yonana is left in the machine, I would concur, however, I took a spoon and easily scooped out the ice cream left in the machine and put it into my bowl. It was still the proper yonana consistency and taste. Just don't lick the blades with your tongue to get ALL the yonana out and you'll be okay. Some people complained it takes two bananas to make one serving, which is true, however, considering two bananas is only about 250 calories, that's not a bad deal I figured. If for some reason 250 calories of plain fruit isn't in your diet plan, you can freeze half. I tried it, and it makes ice cream that is scoopable, like a pint you would buy from the store. I did not find the machine unbearably noisy. It took me longer to decide how many chocolate chips to put into the machine then it actually took the machine to make the ice cream. The noise is no louder than a blender and is on for far less time. One last thing- when the yonana is coming out of the machine I found that far less is left in the machine if the bowl is shorter and flatter and turned as the yonana comes out. However, once you're done plunging it really is not a big deal to pop the blade housing off the machine and scoop out the "still inside the machine" yonana, in the event your bowl turning skills are lacking (as mine for sure were). I would recommend Yonanas to all my friends. They're always asking me to bring it over so they can push fruit and chocolate or peanut butter through. For the record, I do find that a small food processor and a blender make almost the same consistency, but not quite. We tried with a food processor and the blades are just too big to make a nice soft serve consistency. The Yoanana's blade are very tiny. With the blender it took forever having to shove the fruit back down into the blades. If you're paleo, or just don't want to eat ice cream with crazy amounts of sugar or weird stuff inside, buy this thing. Follow the instructions, mildly thaw your frozen fruit, and enjoy.

Do not buy this product!
I was so excited when I bought this machine. I read the product being mentioned in fitness magazine and when I looked it up online I thought it looked great! I read as many reviews and watched as many videos that I could find before purchasing this item. For the most part the reviews were great and people that enjoyed the product really loved it and used it daily. I was unfortunately not so lucky. Once I opened the packaging I was impressed. I liked the sleek design and how compact it was. I read the recipe book that came with it and became more excited! I went to the produce section and purchased by bananas. My grocery store takes the bananas that are very brown and they put them on discount for people that want to cook with them, like banana bread. It was very cheap and I got a lot of them. They also cut the tops off of them so they were even lighter which means cheaper! I froze my bananas for two days before using them. When turning the machine on I was disappointed with how loud it was. After I read all those reviews I had no idea what to expect for sound level because it wasn't mentioned often. The sound level is similar to a bunch of ice cubes in a blender. Maybe that's why in so many videos I saw they simply show the product and then show a bowl full of the banana sorbet, not it actually being made. When putting the banana into the top of the machine I actually had to push very hard to get the banana to go through the blade system. However neither of these problems are deal breakers... It could still be very good. Once the banana started to come out it did look like it was simply mashed. Since the only ingredient is banana I didn't expect ice cream consistency but I could literally get the same thing if I put banana in a ziploc bag and hit it with a hammer. It looked pretty disgusting. I also threw in a couple frozen chocolate chips into the machine. It didn't actually chop them up or disperse the chocolate at all, they came out of the machine whole. There was no point to adding them into the machine. Then I tried my expensive mashed banana and hated it. I love bananas but this tasted horrible. I read online about the starch taste but I also read that brown bananas will get rid of that taste and will be much sweeter. I did not find this to be true. I added other ingredients to see if I could mask the taste such as peanut butter and chocolate syrup (ruining the idea of healthy alternative) and it was still very starchy. I don't think of myself as a picky eater at all but this was disguising. Once I returned to my Yonana maker in the kitchen I found a large pile of melted banana, peanut butter and chocolate all over my counter and dripping onto my floor. I was away for maybe an hour and it was beginning to harden. It was a very disappointing experience. The take away Pros It is healthier than ice cream. Very compact. If you like the taste good for you! Cons Loud. The blade system is not perfected and seems cheap. The fruit will need some force to get through the blade system. The Yonana maker holds a large volume of the banana product in it's system and will melt. Multiple ingredients will not disperse well. The banana product is hardly a sorbet or even similar. Overpriced for the service it provides (a smasher). I personally could not stand the taste when using banana as an ingredient. I could have tried other fruits to see if I liked the flavor better but I was so put off by the entire experience that I don't want to touch it again.
