Tough as a huge axe!
His is one tough took. The steel takes a great edge. It can slice but viscerally for land cleaning and chopping. Saplings are cut with one 45 degree chop. It is a full.length axe. I have used tools like this overseas. Often the blades can chop and then you see the handle is still in your hand and the blade flying away. This on has several pins through the tang holding the slab wood grips in place. The Indonesian chopping tools on Ebay are also great but some do not have retaining pins through the tang. Insist on that feature for safety. This is no sheath. Often PVC pipes are heated and pressed down and around the blade to make a safety sheath. Utube has demos.
