Where might one find a handle for this jack? (I only have 4 way wrenches and flemsy cranks)

If this can't fit under a sedan at it's lowest setting 8 might as well get traditional jack stands, right?

Yes. You will still require a lower jack to lift the vehicle and this is not ideal if only to be used as a jackstand.
