Wow! This little JZENT Tesla Coil is absolutely fantastic and deserves every one of its 5 stars. It's way more than just a desktop toy; it's a captivating demonstration of science that's incredibly fun to interact with.Right out of the box, setup was a breeze – no grounding needed, just attach the secondary coil and a discharge needle (you get six tips to play with!), plug it in, flick the switch, and prepare to be amazed. The instructions are clear, but it's intuitive enough you might not even need them.The performance is genuinely shocking (pun intended!) for its size. When you crank it up, especially using the main center discharge tip, it throws an impressive arc – they claim up to 100mm (almost 4 inches), and it certainly looks the part! It's surprisingly powerful. Yes, it gets quite loud, and you definitely notice that distinct ozone smell when it's running full tilt – that sharp scent is part of the raw electrical magic happening right there on your desk!The different modes are brilliant. In normal mode, the ability to carefully touch the arc (as described) is mind-blowing and a guaranteed conversation starter. It's a bizarre, slightly ticklish sensation, and being able to safely interact with visible electricity like that is just plain cool. Don't limit yourself though. Try everything you have at hand. Light bulbs, LEDs, etc... they all light up as they get close to this thing. I even went out of my way and picked up a bunch of gas tubes with various gasses in them that glow different colors when you get them close. That was absolutely stunning!The Bluetooth Music Mode is where it gets even more entertaining. Connecting via Bluetooth was simple. Remember, it specifically needs square wave music (easy to find online!), and make sure your phone volume is maxed out. (Try to listen to the square wave music without the Tesla Coil first. That was a surprise!) Watching the electrical arcs literally dance and pulse in time with the music is mesmerizing. It turns sound into a visible, crackling light show! No, you actually both SEE and HEAR the music at the same time. Very cool!Beyond the pure fun factor, it's also a great educational piece. It's a tangible way to demonstrate concepts like wireless energy transmission and high-voltage circuits. It sparks curiosity (again, pun intended!) and makes learning about Tesla's work interactive.Honestly, this thing is just awesome. It's well-built, performs incredibly well, is easy to use, and provides endless fascination whether you're just watching the arcs, touching them carefully, or making them dance to music. Good quality and price, just like the ones from YouTube. My little brother absolutely adores it and it’s simple to plug in and play music with. It can get a bit loud and it will zap you a little if you put your fingers up by the electricity but doesn’t really hurt.

A decent Tesla toy..Comes with a 48 volt power supply and a few knobs to twiddle.It’s not Bluetooth though so you have to use something other then an older I phone to connect it.I set it up to a theramin and a Hammond B 3 just for giggles.Get stoned or drunk and trip out to the lightning bolts 🤪

Fun toy but very loud. Better used in darker room.

Looks great. Packaged well. The switch is very much on the low end. I could turn on, connect to blue tooth. With faulty switch and proper settings, no lights appeared. Disappointed.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my nephew and it was the perfect science demo and toy for him. The build quality is great, too, and it works just as well as advertised.

It's a fun toy to find once or twice a year. People get a kick out of it.
