Trading Plans Made Simple: A Beginner's Guide to Planning for Trading Success

The information in this book can be used by anyone who hasn't written a trading plan and is unsure where to start. Thought provoking and easy to understand, this book will make you examine why you want to trade and how best to approach your trading so that you can achieve your goals. There are no methods or strategies contained within, just a series of questions you should ask yourself to help you structure a trading plan which then goes on to be your blueprint for your future trading.

I bought this book at the end of 2021 and desperate to improve my trading in stock options. I have been trading stock options for several years in an undisciplined manner. I would categorize my experience level as intermediate, that is lower rung intermediate. My dabbling in stock options trading has been haphazard with a casino flavor. I didn't have a trading plan and didn't understand what comprises a trading plan. Trading Plans Made Simple has allowed me to organize a lot of knowledge that I've accumulated from various sources over the last several years. I read this book twice and did the exercises. I didn't truly know how bad I was doing until this book showed me how to assess my performance. Chapter 6 explains Hit Rate and Edge Ratio, which showed me how abysmal my performance has been. I now have a trading plan that gives me the confidence that I need to stick to the plan. It's like the steering wheel of a car. I've gained a tremendous amount of knowledge from Trading Plans Made Simple and am confident about improving my trading in stock options. My recommendation is to buy this book only if you plan to do the prescribed exercises in each chapter. The exercises require honest self introspection. If you earnestly do the the exercises while engaging in honest introspection, you will be able to develop a trading plan that is right for you. This book has been a wonderful reference for me.

I found this book to be very lacking in details and the website is no longer functioning. I would not recommend this book.

Good read.

A well written and well structured book. A must read for those having a keen interest in trading. Serious Traders will find it very useful.
