Fits great on 2002 5.3
I installed this on my 2002 GMC Sierra 5.3 and it was a piece of cake, piece of crumb cake! Installed in about 10-15 minutes. Fits great. I had to re-use one of the factory hose clamps from the factory intake tube but wasn’t an issue.

Intake tube
Best price and does what it advertises.More growl and a little more acceleration.I believe it has a few more horses and torque, will help mileage some. Will pay for itself, looks factory, looks clean.Happy with my purchase,no regrets.Even comes with a cool Airaid yellow emblem to go under the hood.BUY IT.Seals great to the throttle body where the factory ones fail and suck dust in your engine.

For the price of the MIT and 15 minutes in the garage I got more zip, maybe 1 MPG and a little growl under the hood.
The product is as advertised and was delivered in two days. Installation was quick and easy. I ordered for my 2003 Avalanche Z66 that I mostly drive in a mid size town with moderate to heavy traffic. Lots of starting and stopping rarely getting much over 50 mph or over a mile without stopping for a light or something. I don't drive it hard but run with the flow of traffic. This truck is well maintained and totally stock with original tire size on it and about 130,000 miles. I am still using the stock air box and filter. I always have between 4 and 5 hundred pounds in the back as I use it as a work truck, I was hoping to add a little zip and maybe improve mpg a bit. I disconnected the battery to let the computer get a fresh baseline while I was installing. After about 180 miles of driving my normal routine the truck does seem more responsive and I don't have to push the accelerator quite as far to run with the flow of traffic. It goes through the gears a little quicker and is a little zippier than before. Although I know they are not always accurate the computer is reporting average 14.2 mpg against a about a flat 13 before. I got on the highway today for a few miles and was able to get into the throttle little bit and you can now certainly hear the engine drawing air as you accelerate hard. To summarize, For the price of the MIT and 15 minutes in the garage I got more zip, maybe 1 MPG and a little growl under the hood.

Easy install, high RPM growl
Airiad's website is a total mess, and very outdated. The box come stating this only fit 2007 Gm vehicles with a 6.0, but the instruction sheet included said it fits the 99-06 Gm 5.3 haha. Airiad needs to get thier act together. Install was a simple 10 minute excercise. I could tell the fit and finish was pretty shoddy, on the trimming, but everything fits as it should PN 200-912 fits out 2004 Chevy 1500 with the 5.3 perfectly. These setups are all prettymu chthe same. GM used the same airbox and intake manifold for all the LS based truck engines. Noticed a good high RPM growl and maybe some throttle response pickup.

Mileage in a box
Super easy install, less than 10min with common tools that even your mom has. If you don't have the tools, you shouldn't have a truck. But I digress. I installed this in my Yukon, behind the stock airbox and a K&N filter. There is *slightly* more intake noise under normal driving (like an old lady) and considerably more intake noise during WOT acceleration. But, that's what you want...you're just telling your wife or parents that its about gas mileage. I got you bruh. Mileage did improve! No kidding. I didn't expect that it would but I saw an improvement of 2-3mpg on the interstate, with cruise set at 70mph. With my gear ratio and oversize wheels ('Merica!) that translates to 2000 RPM. The engine is 5.3 liters of twisting steel and sex appeal and it can now suck more wind than a new recruit at Parris Island. Buy it. Your wife can't stay mad forever and if she tries to, fear not. The sweet music of this intake will have the ladies flocking to you like the wild salmon of Capistrano. Red-blooded American badassery for $150. Do it.

As Expected
Works as expected, increased throttle response, along with much better sound. Well built, simple install, but kind of over priced for what it is.

perfect
Fit & finish super. This is what should have come from the factory. There was no need to have the huge and wastefull unit that GM used on a number of vehicles that have the same basic air box intake configuration that was used on a number of different sized motors. The Airaid unit fit perfectly and all the materials used were of the highest quality. It looks "FACTORY" and actually flows over 400 cfm more than the factory unit. In addition, if used in conjunction with a high flow, non-disposable air filter such as Airaid or K&N.When installed together you should expect better performance and a slight increase in MPG's ! The unit was very easy to install using only a flat tip screw driver! I highly recommend this product!
