We got a set of Predator Top Trumps when my son was little and we've just never bothered to learn to play it. Now my son's a teenager and we were getting ready to go on a trip and we wanted a new card game. My son is super into history so we thought this would be a fun way to engage him... and it was. And if you've never played Top Trumps before, I highly recommend you give it a try. It's basically like playing War. You know the old card game War, where you just throw out a card and whoever has the higher number wins. On this, each card has various facts about different people and the person whose turn it is gets to choose which fact they're going to go to war against. In this case you can choose to go to war against how old they were when they died, or what year they were born, or how terrible they were. It's pretty fun because one card might win on one thing but lose on another thing. It's also super easy. I would say it was very mildly educational. There's not a ton of facts on each card, but enough that you learn a bit about these people from history. The quality of the cards and the plastic case that they come in is very good. We will be buying and playing more Top Trumps in the future. It's super easy and fun to take on little vacations for some evening gameplay.
