High Quality Trim Brush for Detailed Painting Tasks
Seldom is there a three-quarter inch brush that impresses me but this durable and well-made tool is something to take note of in a world of mediocrity. The bristles are made of high-quality synthetic materials, ensuring that the brush is durable and can hold a good amount of paint. The synthetic bristles also make it suitable for use with a variety of paint types, including latex and oil-based products. The handle is designed for comfort and ease of use, allowing for extended painting sessions without hand fatigue … particularly important when working on detailed trim work as it requires steady, precise movements. Painting trim, edges, corners and filigree work requires brush versatility to which the small size and angled shape make this particular one ideal to handle these tasks. The Bates trim brush is a well-made, versatile tool, ideal for detailed painting tasks and is a valuable addition to any painter’s tool kit.

Good value for a useful tool.
I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but the quality and value are apparent. I've used a lot of this type of brush in the past, and after looking it over, I'm confident that this will work well. Nice tight bristles, comfortable handle, easy cleaning, thick brush head and all-around useful design.

Perfect
I’ve done a lot of painting over the years and really wished I had discovered these round brushes so much sooner! I’m able to get amazing control and precision with this brush for trim work that had been frustratingly tedious before using a regular angled brush. And I’m not sacrificing on the paint capacity as it actually has very good coverage at the same time, so I can pretty seamlessly work on trim and somewhat larger (but still small-ish) areas that need to be painted. Total game changer. I’ve gotten a few stray hairs falling out of it, but nothing more than what I have come to expect from a new brush. This seems like a good quality brush that I will be using a lot from now on. Highly recommend!

Love this brush but....
This is the most amazing little brush for trim work. It takes so much time out of painting. I've ordered 3 so far. My only issue is 2 of the brushes came apart from the handle. One after a little use and one before I had the chance to use it. Gluing it back somewhat works if you can get it back on where it's even with the handle. Still cane off after that with a little use.

Life Changing
These brushes are life changing! They hold a lot of paint, makes cutting in a BREEZE, so smooth (especially on my plaster walls), and easy to clean. I no long procrastinate and actually look forward to painting because they're so satisfying to use. It cut down on painting time, and you cannot beat the price.

It’s for Painting, but I Bought it for Coffee
This is a nice brush, nicely weighted, with a comfortable handle, and bristles that are compact with a very desirable cut at the tip that forms a rounded point which does not deform with use. As the title indicates, I bought this for use with coffee. Specifically, for use with a large commercial grinder while preparing espresso every day. Virtually every coffee brush out there has hairs splaying out in all directions. Not good for my purposes, where precision is more important as I work to grind with zero retention, dusting off the coffee chute heading out of the burr chamber and into the portafilter. Anyway, this is not being used for painting, but instead for tidy coffee preparation. It beats every other “coffee prep brush” I have ever seen or used.

Divided light windows....you need this!
My old farmhouse has divided light windows, over 100 single panes total. I considered taping and even using liquid masking to make things easier, I also bought this brush. Before I tackled the tape work or anything else I gave this brush a try and realized taping and masking would be a huge waste of time. This brush has a very sturdy fine bristled point to it and holds paint very well. Even taking my time to avoid painting the glass was far faster than using tape would have been and even in the corners I only needed a quick scrape with a razor blade on a couple of panes. This is a quality brush and worth every penny if you have detail work to do.

Amazing
The Bates Trim Brush is an excellent go-to for both professional painters and DIYers looking for a reliable, budget-friendly brush that delivers clean lines and smooth finishes. Pros: • Great for Precision Work: The angled sash and soft synthetic bristles make it perfect for cutting in around trim, baseboards, ceilings, and edges. It’s easy to get a sharp, clean line—even without painter’s tape. • Comfortable Grip: The handle is ergonomically designed and lightweight, making it easy to control even during long painting sessions. • No Bristle Shedding: Unlike some cheaper brushes, the Bates Trim Brush holds its shape and doesn’t shed bristles into your paint. • Affordable Yet Durable: Despite the low price, it performs like a premium brush. You can wash and reuse it several times with proper care.

This brush is well designed ok, BUT it is NOT a two piece set at all ! Very misleading etc. In fact a rip-off ! 😕🥺🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

A must for decorating
I keep buying brushes like these with them being cheap they are really good for cutting in corners and I find them the easiest brushes to use for this however it’s due to sheer laziness on my part that I have to keep ordering but that is my own fault for not washing them out properly. Every house job I’ve done involving painting I’ve used similar brushes and they really do make cutting in and edge work more easier especially near ceilings.
