This seems to be a well made item. The reviewer who said you could pull it off was, perhaps, not using it correctly.I hold the main body with my left hand and operate the plunger, several times, with my right and it works perfectly OK. You get a reassuring noise when, later, you remove the stopper, confirming that there was a vacuum. I lost my Vacu Vin pump so it was handy to find out that this pump works with the Vacu Vin stoppers. The two stoppers supplied are reusable. You can also set a date on the top of the stopper, but it's a very reflective surface and I found it difficult to see the number. Perhaps a bit overpriced for what it is?

Purchased in march, used only a few times as per instructions, has broken inside which I'm unsure on because we haven't been forceful with it?The item itself is a great concept though and worked well for the few times we used, though for the price I'd have hoped for a longer life span!It may have been broken upon arrival without realising it so maybe I'll have to purchase again to see how long the next one lasts?

It works with most bottles of fizz but not all. I think it'll probably last a few years but then so did the John Lewis one I got free in a christmas cracker. It doesn't look particularly special - it's just a bit of plastic -- overall not great value for money. I wouldn't buy again.

Exactly what I wanted. Took a bit to figure out how to take it off. Tip: keep wiggling it. Love that you can have the date of opening.Don't know about the 7 day thing. Longest I've used it for one bottle is 3days and it was great.

I don't like drinking a bottle of wine in one sitting but kept letting it go off by the time i revisited it a few days later. I bought this and after placing it on the bottle and giving it a few quick pumps, I can easily drink it again on the 3rd or 4th day...red wine that is for me. I haven't tried the week as claimed but I'm sure day 5 or 6 would be fine.

The product is great but the scratch and win card that came with it was abit misleading as I won yet did not hear back from the company when I emailed them. This is why I gave 4 stars instead of five.

As a long time former user of the vac u van rubber stopper and separate air extractor. This is far easier and neater and looks good enough to leave out. Really easy to use. Simply place onto the open bottle and pump the lid down until you feel some resistance. Your wine will now keep for another day. Great if like me you don’t drink often and prefer the economy of a full bottle rather than buying half bottles. Nothing goes to waste now!

This item seemed ideal for preventing wastage of perfectly good prosecco, however the stopper only fits onto certain prosecco bottle necks so I have to pick and choose which wine I drink to ensure the stopper will work properly.
