Low quality product.
Straps were not user friendly and package didn’t include clear instructions. Drove through some rain and luggage got wet. Only used once. Round trip was 1200 miles. Material began to shred and come apart around 1000 miles in.

Worth every penny
Worth the money! It's totally waterproof and the closures are so secure even the crap we had to carry inside of it stayed COMPLETELY dry. I am fascinated by how well the carrier protects its contents. We drove through the colorado mountains in wind and rain. It held up (with some extra synch straps because my husband doesn't want to be clark griswold) very very well on an 8 hour drive. Buy it you wont regret it.UPDATE: We forgot to mention when driving through the rain we turned the cargo bag backward. It's completely flat on its back side. The rain was blowing in front. The moral of the story is: when its raining faint out your primary direction of it and face your cargo bag's zippers an entire 180 degrees from it. Extra protection or smart travelling? You decide.

Cheaply made and won’t last one trip!
Do not buy this item! I bought it during Amazon days and it arrived right before we left on vacation. We drove from Virginia to Florida and it was shredded when we arrived and all our things were ruined. It is NOT durable, sturdy or easy to use. We had to add additional straps to feel comfortable with it being secure on the roof. We didn’t go through any bad weather or anything extreme. I had to spend more money to replace it when we got there to get one from an auto parts store and the new one lasted our entire trip with no issues. Our vacation was longer than normal because we didn’t get to take our vacation last summer so by the time we got back I couldn’t return it. Definitely the worst purchase I’ve ever made from Amazon.

Good but for the price
I used this on the roof my Ford Fusion. For the price, it did exactly what I needed it to. Super easy to use. Lots of room. No problems! Only reason I gave this 4 stars is because I feel the Velcro should be a bit more sturdy. I used for one trip and it’s already letting loose on one side. The zippers obviously keep everything tight I just assumed the Velcro would’ve been better. I would definitely recommend!

This has been great on my flatbed truck!
I got this to use on my flatbed truck when I need to put things out there like luggage or purchases and the weather is bad or things just need to be contained. It is a nice heavy duty material and the design is water tight. It has stayed out on the bed all winter to house the stepstool I use to climb up on the bed. I do use a big ratchet strap across the top to tie it down. Definitely a great purchase!

Shows Wear Quickly
Overall this functioned as advertised. For the price it's acceptable. The straps were NOT as straightforward as they could have been. We made it work.My biggest issue is by the time we reached our first stop for the night (about 10Hours) there was already wind damage to it. We feared it wouldn't survive the trip. It did, but just know what you are getting. The black outer layer sheered off in a few spots and now if it rains hard enough it's no longer waterproof.

Worth it
I’ll be honest, the thing works great. It’s held up very nicely through 4 states, and quite a lot of pouring rain and wind. Secured properly( and it was, using steps provided) it’s been waterproof, durable, and easy to use once you figure out how to use it. I would recommend this item, and the price is nice. No water leakage at all, after 2 days of rain. Couldn’t ask for better

Protective but hard to load
Soft construction makes it easier to ship but difficult to load. Unable to use “available” cubic space effectively without any structure. It was like Ioading a large, very heavy neoprene sleeping bag. Even though it did have squared off sides, it was constantly collapsed around the items. We had to shove and poke and push to try to get anything in.It was sturdy and waterproof and survived the trip well.
