I had a slim 3.5mm cable before, and I had a horrible, very loud and audible humming noise coming from my speakers even if nothing was playing!After replacing my slim cable with this shielded one, there is no more ambient humming noise from my speakers! I currently use THX/Logitech speakers with a subwoofer, so there is a large frequency range that these speakers can play.The fact I cant hear anything anymore, and neither can my husband, that tells me this 3.5mm cable is actually shielded from outside interference! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Aux Cable because it's Nicely Reinforced *by R***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2016* This is a great cable and unless you unscrew the cover at each end you might not know how great. The cover for the connection to the plug actually has threads to screw on and off easily and what it reveals is a very well made, sturdy reinforcement under each end cover, which I measured at 3/4". The flexible cable, the reinforcement and the gold plug pins make this cord stand out as possibly the best cord I've ever bought. Which makes the price even more amazing.If it's as durable as it looks it will be the best cord I own or have owned out of maybe 50 I've purchased. It seems like an exceptionally well built cord for a great price. I'll report back if it disappoints. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Completely fixes buzz/hum, but be gentle with it *by J***L on Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2019* This completely solved the buzz/hum interference issue that was occurring between my cheap LCD projector and my soundbar. I bought a filter (for more than double the price of this cord) and that reduced the buzz/hum but didn't eliminate it.And the price of this cable is less than the one half of the top-rated Anker one that Amazon recommends. That was the one I was using that had a full, loud buzz/hum.The durability of this cord may be questionable, though. The part that you grab to unplug it came off the first time I unplugged it. To be fair, it was in a tighter-than-normal jack, but I was still surprised. I tried to screw it back on and you can only screw it gently or it skips and starts over on the threads - so it never really gets tight.
