Fantastic device for sharpening your kitchen knives, the sharpening device is well designed and built to last. It takes all the effort out of keeping your knives sharp. Well designed for safety, and easy to use on a bench top.

Pretty good only had it a couple of days but happy with this . Safety a good working tool.

So good and easy to use. I like the fact that it has a slot of scissors too as mine are blunt now but was able to sharpen them. I like the design too, the handle helps a lot and it has grips at the bottom for a sturdy hold whilst sharpening. Worth the price.

After trying many sharpening kits, this beats the lot, makes my Japanese knifes razors, brilliant well made kit.

Worked well but after 11 months of light use , position 2 has worn out and I cannot find spares anywhere to replace it.

Messerschärfer , Marke Longzon , geliefert im Jan 2025 : Bei technischen Artikeln , die aus China kommen , hatte ich sonst immer ein ungutes Gefühl. Zu oft hatte ich nach der Lieferung ein billiges Plastikteil in der Hand. Nicht in diesem Fall. Der gelieferte Messerschärfer macht einen durchaus wertigen Eindruck , und er macht was er soll : er hat einen gut dimensionierten Griff , ist rutschfest , gut gekennzeichnet und er schärft Messer und Scheren. Die Gebrauchsanleitung ist verständlich und gut. Dieses klein gedruckte Blatt "Handbuch" zu nennen finde ich zwar etwas übertrieben , aber die deutsche Beschreibung ist fast fehlerfrei , wenn man mal von der Groß- und Kleinschreibung absieht. Das ist bei einem chinesischen Produkt nicht selbstverständlich. Ich habe 2 Scheren und mehrere Messer geschärft. Das Ergebnis ist gut. Ideal wäre es , wenn man jetzt noch etwas hätte , um die entstandene scharfe Kante ganz leicht zu "brechen". Sonst wird die Schneide zu schnell wieder stumpf. Aber das ist eher was für Profis. Natürlich sollte man nicht versuchen damit gezackte Messer zu schärfen. Die mitgelieferten Handschuhe (Größe L) sind selbst für meine nicht so großen Hände zu klein. Für die meisten Frauenhände sind sie wahrscheinlich i.O. Fazit : für den normalen Haushalt gut zu gebrauchen und jederzeit zu empfehlen. PS : ob das Teil nach mehreren Jahren auch noch gut schärft , kann ich jetzt noch nicht beurteilen. Das wird die Zukunft zeigen.

The rough grinder seems to work well. It's hard to tell if the other two are doing anything. They don't seem to make the blades any sharper. No idea at all how to use the scissors sharpener part. The instructions are unclear and totally meaningless and guessing does nothing to help get the scissors sharp.

Very good knife sharpener. I bought one and liked it so much I bought another to keep in my vacation home. It's very very stable and has 3 grades of sharpening slots for knives. If you have a very dull knife you run it through all three slots (from coarsest to finest). If you have a mostly sharp knife and only need to sharpen it lightly you can use only the medium and fine slots.. or the fine along. There is also a fourth scissor sharpener slot. So it's a very versatile sharpener. The way it can be held solidly on the counter with the handle makes it extremely stable and safe to use. One thing they include is a pair of gloves to protect your hands while sharpening. I don't use that, it's safe enough without the gloves (although if you are someone who sharpens a lot of knives or has unstable hands, it would be useful). But I do use the gloves. I use them when I cut up boxes with a box cutter. The gloves fit well and have a good grip and do offer some protection from accidental cuts. Final thought: the price is good too.
