My GSD is 75lbs and I would consider a fairly big dog with a bigger mouth and the largest ball this manufacturer sold was perfect. - Not really a CHEW CHEW toy so I wouldn't recommend for super aggressive chewers my dog does like to bite in deep and soften it up (its like she knows to break it in lol) Other than that I've ordered three and all three hold up well for about 4-6 months of play time being kicked, thrown, chunked, bitten, frozen (winter), and baked (summer). I bought the larger for a large dog and the small for a small dog. the larger ball size seems to easy enough to temporarily deflate so that most size dogs can pick it up without a problem. The smaller ball size seems to be extremely difficult for even my largest dog to get his mouth around it/get a grip. Only get the smaller size if your dog has a really strong/large jaw. The larger one is more like a regular soccer ball and even after a year, its dirty, but it certainly bounces. **Q: Is this ball squishy so the fog can grab it?** A: My Labrador carries this ball no problem.
