Keeps falling shut. Anyone else have this issue. Also have not caught one mosquito in 3 weeks.** A: I put mine on upside down at first. Maybe try flipping it over? The fan should pull it open. Spiders get in mine too and can web up the whole opening if I don't clean them out The scent lures really improved my catch. **Q: how much area does it cover? trying to figure out how many are needed** A: It is difficult to say exactly how big of an area each trap covers, because there are many different criteria which have an influence on the catching rate, such as mosquito population, breeding waters, resting places, coppice, climate, surroundings etc. The basic traps (BG-Mosquitaire without CO2) cover about 50 to 100 mΒ² and the CO2 versions (BG-Mosquitaire + BG-Booster) about 100 to 600 mΒ². But this depends on the local situation. You could start with one or two traps and can always add more if you are happy with the traps but still being bothered by the mosquitoes. **Q: How often do you replace the bait** A: During the mosquito season in North central Texas, March-September, I change the bait every 4 weeks. The CO2 gas really increases mosquito capture for me. **Q: Does it need to be connected to power outlet** A: Yes. We are also offering here on Amazon extension cords, if needed. ## Frequently Bought Together - BIOGENTS BG-Mosquitaire and BG-Sweetscent Bundle β€’ Outdoor Mosquito Trap + Mosquito Attractant β€’ Effective Mosquito Trap and Attractant to Lure Asian Tiger and Dengue Mosquitoes - Biogents Sweetscent β€’ Mosquito Attractant β€’ Mosquito Lure β€’ Mosquito Magnet β€’ Compatible with All Mosquito Traps - Last up to 2 Months - BIOGENTS BG-GAT2 Yard Control (Pack of 2) β€’ Non-Electrical Outdoor Trap for Egg Laying Asian Tiger and Dengue Type β€’ Position in Your Patio --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/298580515-biogents-mosquitaire-outdoor-mosquito-trap-for-biting-mosquitoes](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/298580515-biogents-mosquitaire-outdoor-mosquito-trap-for-biting-mosquitoes) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
