Kimberly Bay Edge Glued Pine Rounds (1x24)

Very nice, well done and sturdy table top. Nice looking too. Edges are done to perfection. It could easily be used on any table and look great. I am using it on top of a nice, large (and very sturdy) antique wicker table, and it’s about and inch or so larger than the actual top of table…as I wanted. I needed something to cover the top, as my small parrot plays on it in my sunroom. I needed something to protect the wicker table top/edge, as he has a tendency to chew on edges. It’s covered with a table cloth to protect the wood. The things I do for that bird, lol!

I wanted to make a round tray and ordered this to save time routing a board myself. I saw a few negative reviews but was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived. The seams from the glue-up were well done. The wood was a decent quality for the type and I was more than pleased. I sanded it down to a smooth finish and did an initial stain and again was pleased. I've attached a pic of the first stain and am letting that cure before adding a darker stain. I would buy again in a heart beat!!

It's unfinished but good quality pine. There were some imperfections in the joints where the wood slats connected but these were fixed with some sand paper and wood putty. I stained ours and put about 8 coats of polyurethane on each side. It now resides on our back porch as an accent table and I get compliments consistently. I use it constantly for my drinks and other items. Its been rained on and comes clean every time. Remember its glued pine so you can't expect perfection.

My first table top arrived with a split. Now I know when shipping wood, especially large pore wood like pine, that moisture variations in shipping to different regions of the country can have detrimental effects on wood products. So does Kimberly Bay. They sent without question another table top promptly. It arrived in good condition. The product is good quality and the service is excellent. Should I have need of another wood product I will start with their inventory.

I wish I could give 0 stars.... I am an artist that paints on wood. I usually buy my wood and wood rounds from Home Depot or Lowes. I received a commission for a sea turtle painting on a 30" wood round. Home Depot and Lowes were out of stock on this particular size and I could not.find it anywhere. Then I found it here! I was so excited. The wood looked fine when it came in so I went to work. Fast forward about 6 months...and my customer sends me pics. Her painting which was hung on the wall started randomly splitting! On top of that brown spots started seeping through. After inspecting I can see that the brown spots are sap. And they are everywhere. The sap seeping through is a result of improper drying of the wood which in turn caused the wood to split. I'm highly disappointed as thay can not be salvaged and I am going to have to repaint the entire piece again. One thing's for sure I am never ordering from this vendor. See pics attached.

I purchased the Kimberly Bay Edge Glued Pine Round to help with an outdoor conversation set “table” that was a low metal frame with a round cushion for the table top. I found that the conversation set was not working with that setup as nobody would talk to me when I sat there. The round cushion started looking a bit ugly from years of pollen and other outdoor detritus that would not come out, despite the numerous cleaning methods attempted. I came up with the idea of making it more of a proper table that one can set their drink on. I lightly sanded and then stained the Kimberly Bay Edge Glued Pine Round A dark walnut – the perfect juxtaposition given the dark frame. The rich grain is visible and provides a luxurious feeling to the conversation set. In a word, sublime. I find that people are now talking to me when I sit there, so I am calling the project a success, thanks to the Kimberly Bay Edge Glued Pine Round. Difference made!

I bought this to make a coffee table and I love it! We originally had a big rectangle coffee table that was hard to walk around with our sectional. I bought this and stained it a dark brown color then put 3 layers of clear sealer on it. I bought some hair pin legs from another seller on amazon and attached them. Super easy project and saved me a ton of money for a new coffee table!
