Does liqui moly hydraulic lifter additive work?

Whats the consistency, is it thick like lucas stabilizer or more watery like marvell mystrery oil?

As I remember, I would say thicker than Marvel. But not very thick. Also, I'll add that it didn't quite my valve train down any.

any benifit to putting 2 cans in at one time?

OK I put 2 cans in my Ferrari it holds 12 quarts it quiets the lifters very well.  I put 1 and half cans in My Mercedes it holds about 9 quarts.  It does very well in the Mercedes I have a little lifter tick. I have a Dodge Diesel Pickup it holds about 10 quarts quarts I use one can for that.  I use other Liqui Moly products and my vehicles.  The instructions say use one can for 6.3 quarts using more that then recommended mix is not suggested.  I would get some Liqui Moly products like the engine Flush.  I suggest you flush the engine very well get rid of the sludge and the oil passage ways and add the correct Mix you will have good results.  It makes my tick go away in my Mercedes and Quiets my other cars very nicely. Two cans my be be over kill if your car has a little oil tank.  Hope this helps.

Anyone use this in their hemi for lifter noise at start up?

Recent Hemi 5.7 v8s that have the feature that shuts off 4 cylinders at idle have a known issue with their lifters getting stuck and the stuck lifters causing cam wear. My wife just spent 5k to replace the cam and lifters on her 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit v8. If you have this engine and are experiencing lifter noise, it’s time to sell the car or spend $$$$ to fix your engine.
