This was a stubborn clog in the kitchen sink. I used an extra long plunger to try to clear the drain. I could hear the water moving in the drain but it would not clear. After dumping 2 gallons of a similar product it still was not going away. So, there i was plunging my little heart out. I left and came back an hour later and the sink was clear. I turned on the water and sure enough, it stopped up again. I did that all day. It stunk up my whole apartment. It wasn't until the drain cleared enough to pour down a whole gallon and leave it overnight. Next morning the odor was gone and the drain clear. It made me think that this problem has been going on for awhile. I just did not notice because it did drain, just slowly. now, I am on a mission to use this at least once a month to sit in the pipes to let the enzymes work.

I picked up Green Gobbler Enzyme Drain Cleaner because our kitchen sink was starting to smell a little funky and draining slower than normal. I didn’t want anything super harsh, so I liked that this uses enzymes instead of strong chemicals. It was really easy to use, just pour it in and let it do its thing. After a couple uses, the bad odor was basically gone and the drain definitely seemed to run smoother. It didn’t completely fix a heavy clog, but for grease buildup and smells, it worked better than I expected. I’m giving it 4 stars because it takes some patience and works best with regular use, not as an instant miracle fix. Overall, it’s a solid product for maintenance and keeping drains fresh, and I’d buy it again.

I have been pleasantly surprised by how well this product worked. While I can understand other's negative experience with opening a clogged drain, I didn't have that issue. Both my kitchen and bathroom sinks were sluggish. I typically have always had to remove the p-traps and clean them that way. What a pain. It took 2 treatments for my kitchen sink, but the first one I only let sit for a couple hours. The second treatment I left to work overnight. After a thorough hot water flush, my sink drains perfectly. No gurgling. I intend to use the sticks as a preventative.
