The Revell 04992 Voyager Flight Model Kit is a highly detailed 1:670 scale plastic model of the U.S.S. Voyager starship from Star Trek. Designed for advanced builders (Skill Level 4), it features authentic surface details, configurable engine pylons, a shuttlecraft, and a Starfleet display stand. The kit includes comprehensive multilingual illustrated instructions but requires separate glue and paint for completion.

## Description

The U.S.S. Voyager is an Intrepid-class starship of the United Federation of Planets. Launched in 2371 under the command of Captain Kathryn Janeway, Voyager was transported (along with a Maquis vessel) by an alien force called the Caretaker to the Delta-quadrant, 70, 000 light-years from Earth. Now, Voyager must make the perilous journey home with her combined crew! Revell’s detailed model recreates Voyager’s unique form to perfection; elongated saucer, deflector array, compact hull and warp engines. Engine pylons can be configured for impulse or warp operation. A shuttlecraft is included and Starfleet-emblem display stand. Decal Options: 1. U.S.S. Voyager (includes extensive stencilling) NOTE: This is a plastic model kit that needs to be assembled and painted to complete. Glue and paint are not included and must be obtained separately. This is a Skill Level 4 kit, rated for advanced model builders.

**Q: How big is this item**
A: The finished length is just over 20"

**Q: I want to install lights into the model to give it an athentic night time look. What parts are opaque or see through?**
A: Just go to You Tube and check out movie model they have a bunch of videos on that build

**Q: I have an older version, are the windows cut out with clear plastic inserts?**
A: Yes the windows are cut out with clear parts. 
  Paint these parts back side with white and a hint of yellow for a lit up look.

**Q: Is this equal to the Revell 04801 that's selling for $150? I noticed that the dimensions (despite having the same *scale*) are different which is odd.**
A: It’s the same one is a reissue so they of the original issue both are from the same molds of t(e monogram model Revell bought Monogram and reissued the 4801 they a little difference in details

I built this kit previously, as kit number 04801, when it was priced at £16.99. It has since been re-boxed and re-priced, to more than £90.00. This kit, number 04992, contains exactly the same sprues, parts and decals as the more expensive kit but, with a new style, coloured instruction sheet. This is a good model of the USS Voyager, from the Star Trek "Voyager" TV Series. The detail is quite good and the decal sheet makes for a well detailed model. With just 69 parts, the kit can very easily lull the builder into thinking it will be an easy build. However, be warned, the shaped parts can be difficult to place! Especially the clear plastic parts. Care is needed as you build this kit, if you don't want it to be spoiled by parts that move before the cement sets. The decal set requires patience as most are tiny but, they do give the completed kit a really detailed finish. For fans of the Star Trek Voyager series, this is a very good kit.
