Reunited with a treasure
I first read this book when it came out having borrowed it from a friend. I wanted a copy for myself but living on an island and Internet was fairly new, it was unheard of to order online and my local bookstore didn't order books either. What was there, was there. This book is a treasure and I'm so happy to reread it after so many years. I love the interactive reading and how the story progresses. So much so that I've ordered the rest of the series to add to my collection.

Great for reluctant readers
I discovered this book years ago and often give it as a gift; now I've discovered that it teaches well too. This mythic love story combines romance, mystery, fantasy, and art while making voyeurs of us all. My reluctant readers -- at-risk high school students -- find the story compelling, the art intriguing, and the open envelopes tantalizing. There's lots to discuss and write about, and the artwork just makes the classroom experience that much richer. The students remained involved from beginning to end, and once we finished the first book, they demanded to read the next two. Griffin and Sabine gets them reading and seeing the world in different ways.

Griffin and Sabine: An Extraordinary Experience
I owned the book Griffin and Sabine and know how wonderful the series is. I wanted to give it to my brother's wife for Christmas because I thought she would find it to be, well, extraordinary, but I did not have a ton of money. So I shopped at Amazon and bought a used copy in very good condition and it did arrive before Christmas holidays via mail. The condition was excellent, the price of the book was a penny plus shipping, so I was able to get it for her. The only part I had trouble with was getting the used book sticker off the back of the book with the price. But I did and it overall turned into an extremely positive experience!

No other book like this
I buy this book as a present all of the time. It’s a quick read, but one of the best and unique books I have ever found. Truly one of a kind.

Unusual Read
This book is unlike anything I've ever read. While the premise is intriguing I'm not sure I really care what happens to the main characters. There are so many continuing novels available with so much more interesting characters that I rather doubt I'll ever go back to find out what happens to Sabine and Griffin. Also the cost is pricey for what you get, sure it is fun with the letters, etc.' but I'd rather have a rousing suspenseful novel for the price. Be sure to know what you're getting before you buy.
