Does it have a safety cable in the spring?

What dictates the weight and hos do you know what weight per exercise?

The weight is dictated by your resistance and strength. You can start with a lower weight (inner grip), and gradually increase as you advance with your trainings, moving also the grip towards the outer end. It's highly adjustable
