If I'm planning on wearing this all day, I either use an exfoliator, balm, and/or chapstick underneath so that my lips don't dry out. This is not a moisturizing lipstick. When I don't use something underneath then I notice that it flakes a little nearing the end of the work day. But I have found that using a moisturizing lipstick over it makes it last all day and it doesn't flake. I think that my favorite color of the ones I purchased is Kitten Heels by far...it's a bright red and just pops. The Alien Black isn't 100% black, but it's really close. The Pink Lust is very vibrant. Respect the Pink is perfect and a light yet bright pink. Watch the pricing on this product as you can get colors for way cheaper at different times. I purchased mine at $1.81 and currently it's sitting at $6.97. But on average, I've found these for around $3 and always purchase at about that price point. Just a helpful hint. Pros: The colors are vibrant! The black is nearly 100% black! These stay on most of the day. They really are matte. I haven't had any stain my clothes or hands. Like...95% matte. And it only takes a couple minutes to get to that point. Maybe 3 minutes if you apply a thicker coat. **Q: Do you need to use a lip liner?** A: No you don't have to use a lip liner. Personal preference however. **Q: How long lasting is it and does it transfer on everything it touches?** A: It’s super long lasting, although it gets a bit dry so I would put on some chapstick beforehand if you want it to not dry out your lips. I've used NYX Suedes before but have never been a huge fan of the texture. Regardless, I really needed black lipstick sooo I bought this. Overall, it's great. PROS: -The texture is really creamy at first, but dries into the feel of a regular lipstick. -The color payoff is great, and it's very opaque. With this shade of black specifically, it has the tiniest hint of blue undertones, but it's still obviously black. -The applicator is nice, and is a sensible shape for lip application. -It doesn't transfer much. -I haven't tested long wear yet, but I took a shower after trying it out and it held up to the humidity and water pretty well. I lost the color on the innermost part of my lips. -For the price, it's really good. NYX doesn't usually have terrible-quality products, but I'm always dubious of drugstore brands; especially when it comes to lip color.
