Fits my needs at a great price
I had three main things that I wanted in a power strip: (1) A switch so that I could easily connect/disconnect power to the units plugged into this (I have some items that I want completely unpowered when I'm not using them) (2) Outlets oriented to accommodate multiple transformers with plugs that stick out 90 degrees from the outlet (like this one ) (3) A product that wasn't overly expensive This strip works perfectly for me. The power switch is lighted and good sized, making it very easy for me to see and flip with my toe while I'm seated at my desk. One of my right-angle transformers is large enough that a three-prong plug won't fit next to it, but a two-prong works just fine. Prices fluctuate (I bought it at $7, and it's $8 as I type this), but full retail on this is on $12. A great bargain if you ask me. I can't speak to the surge protection aspects as (a) I haven't had a surge since buying it and (b) I actually have it plugged into another surge protector. The reason that I have it daisy-chained in another strip is that this doesn't have a right-angle plug to go into the wall outlet, and I have a desk pretty close to the wall so I need a flush fit. So, the one drawback to this strip is that it doesn't have a right-angle power plug, but that's easy for me to overlook given the pros. (Note: daisy-chaining power strips can be dangerous, so do some research if you plan to do it - my devices are very low current, so the risk is low). For about the same price, you can get this same strip with a 6-foot power cord (the TLP606 ) in either white or black. Overall, highly recommended.

Lots of Benefits at a Little Price
I have never given very much thought to our surge protector strips until one (different brand) had a dead outlet, which had me in a panic because I thought the device (whose cord) occupied that outlet was dead, until I decided to plug my device in another outlet, and the device was fine. It was at that time that I gave much more thought into my next surge protector strip purchase. After narrowing down the search results on Amazon by rating and price, I found this to be fairly inexpensive, had plenty of outlets (6) on the strip, a green indicator light to let me know it's protected, a 4 foot cord, and that this strip helps filter out "line noise"--something that didn't cross my mind before. Also, knowing they offer a lifetime guarantee was icing on the cake, so I bought it, have had it several weeks, and have been very pleased with no problems. This has 2 keyhole slots in the back of it for mounting, although we sit our's flat. I may end up replacing all of our older surge protectors with the Tripp Lite brand, as these seem to have more features/benefits than our older (different-branded) ones, lifetime-guaranteed, and are budget-friendly.

Fine product at a great price.
Surge strip arrived on time (Prime) and in excellent condition. Product appears to be well made and performs as advertised. I really like that it has a lighted on-off switch as well a "protection on" light. These additions are not usually found on surge protectors in this price range. I also like the heavy duty 4 ft. cord which fulfills my needs quite nicely. Most inexpensive surge protectors only have a 2 or 3 foot cord which is just too short without an extension cord. All in all, I believe this to be a very good product at a reasonable price.

seems fine, not the exact advertised product though
everything seems to be fine, the outlet specifically for bulky plugs is wonderful! hard to find good protectors with a straight plug but the listing seems to be outdated though, nowhere on the listing does it say it's an [eaton] tripp lite series product, and is also a higher joule rating

Reliable Surge Protection for Home/Office
The Tripp Lite power strip is a reliable and durable surge protector that offers great value. It has 6 outlets to connect multiple devices, along with a long power cord that gives you flexibility in placement. I've been using this brand for years, here's why: Pros: Offers 790 joules of surge protection to safeguard expensive electronics Includes a 6 foot power cord for flexible placement options Has 6 outlets to connect devices like computers, monitors, printers etc. Protects against spikes and surges with advanced multi-stage surge protection Comes from a reputable brand known for quality surge protectors Cons: Basic on/off switch but no other advanced features like EMI/RFI filtering In summary, the Tripp Lite power strip is a great choice for protecting your valuable electronics thanks to robust surge protection and multiple outlets, all for an affordable price point. It gets the core function of safeguarding your gear during surges right, making it a recommended purchase.

Very nice
I went to Wal-mart and bought a random power strip, and while it works, it has a short cord, only 5 slots, and doesn't have any kind of protection indication or grooves in the back so that it can be hung from a wall. These, on the other hand, are better in every way. They have a long cord, six slots, a protection indicator light, and have a pattern in their base that would allow for them to be mounted to a wall. I never really compared the features of power strips before, but for the (as of the time of me writing this at least) low price, these are a great value for the money.

Works well, doesn't feel cheap
Used it for about a month and a half I. Pros: -Good distance between sockets, fit all my sockets well from my desk. -Good build quality, it doesn't feel cheap. -Wire length is just great Cons: -Can't think of any. Observations: -It goes off sometime, when I move or plug sockets, might be my problem. Never goes off during the work. Yes, I would recommend this product. If I'm buying a second one I'm probably going to buy again.

Highly recommend.
January 1, 2010 I had a power surge in my house that fried my computer. After some research into the problem, I found out that the Philip's surge bar I was using never tripped and the surge went straight through it into my computer. (Dealing with Philips was the biggest load of bull ever and they never refunded me for my computer.) I did a lot of research on surge protectors after that and I have replaced all my surge bars with this one. I have yet to have a power surge while I have had these installed, but from other reviews of people who have Tripp-Lite seems to be really easy to work with and they back up their products. Which after dealing with Philips, is very, very important.

Cheap Honest Working Surge Protector
For the price, it works as a surge protector and does what it's suppose to do. It has four screw holes for mounting which I used to attach to the underside of my desk. The spacing between each outlet is on the average size. No big fat plugs!

No problems so far
I bought two of these to power my TV and my sound system. I haven't used this product for long, so I can't say much about its protection features. Generally it looks like a solid product with enough space between the sockets. I've had problems with some other power strips where a piece of metal blocks some of the sockets and makes it very hard to plug cables in. With this one none of the sockets were blocked and I could easily use all sockets.
