Use the tool through the loop to pull the fabric to the corner while you use your other hand (or preferably a second person) to work the corner pocket over the frame. After that it is accomplished it is easy enough to slip the mid-way fabric pockets over their respective frame tips, and the Velcro fabric connections are self evident. We have purchased other ones from different companies promising to be better. They were not. None lasted more than 1 year and they all had little pinholes and leaked. None of them where like the original until now, this one is truly just like the original. We are very pleased. The original was not rip stop special and all the others up to now were. This one is not rip stop but I think it is better. I might not make it more than one year but I'm hoping (the original lasted at least 2 years.)
