Invisible Boy: v. 1

I liked it
It’s classified as yaoi and I won’t deny that. There’s nothing explicit or concrete so I was able to enjoy the story without having to deal with overly suggestive content everywhere. I kinda wish there was more the 2 volumes.

Heartwarming story
In spite of its "Yaoi" label, this series is strong on deep bonds and free of sex (at least in the first two volumes). I would say this is more Shounenai than Yaoi. This author tends to focus on beautiful and meaningful male friendships rather than romance. The emotional value alone makes this series a worthwhile read. Give it a try!!The series follows the (highly attractive) members of the student counsel in an all boys school - some that struggle with feelings of rejection or inadequacy, and others who are just trying to do their best. All the characters orbit the sun that is the student counsel president - Yuushi. This series chronicles their friendships, troubles and successes. Yuushi is the emotional center, supporting and encouraging his friends while drawing on their strength to deal with his own struggles.Just be warned that it can get a bit wordy at times. This mangaka tends to have very verbose characters that are more in touch with their emotions, and able to express them, more so than the average human. Sometimes, the dialog is more "grown up" than most of the adults I know speak, yet these boys are in high school. Much like Shoujo manga, there is a lot of introspection and soul searching on the part of the characters. Still, it's enjoyable. I actually shed a single tear once or twice. But then, I like "Boy's Love"' that doesn't focus on romance - sort of an Old Testament David and Jonathan kind of thing.Hopefully, this review was helpful regarding the style of the manga.

Definitely recommend
It's not so much yaoi as more male bonding. It's definitely an amazing story and I love this volume. I love Hotaru Odagiri's work, and would definitely recommend this one. There's nothing sexual or romantic but they care about each other. And she did an amazing job writing their relationships. Every time I look at Yuushi I think of Kazuki from only the ring finger knows (also recommend) they have such polar opposite personalities so it's weird seeing him be more cute loving and open.

Thoroughly enjoyable
Invisible Boy is a lovely story with beautiful art for both characters and the setting. Hotaru Odagiri brings to life the wonderful boys of the school council in a cute series of events. An enjoyable read, and one of the better books of the boys love genre.

Not as I expected
Invisible Boy Vol. 1 wasn't as I expected but the story line was still pretty good.
