A Great Versatile Flashlight
This is a seriously great flashlight from a reputable and well-known company. The quality of the flashlight and its versatility are excellent. The body/case contoured so it fits in your hand comfortably and the swivel head or magnetic bottom give you multiple options which allow the light to be projected easily where you need it. The heavy-duty body/case is also water resistant and has a “trigger” style switch which works very well. There are two levels of brightness. You just use the Trigger switch to cycle through them. One click of the “trigger” switch and the bright setting illuminates, second click and the lower level lights up (which is useful when you only need a little light or want to extend the battery life) and the third click turns the light off.The base of the flashlight screws off so you can insert the 2 AA batteries. The fact that this flashlight allows you to use standard AA batteries or if you want rechargeable AA batteries is a great feature. It gives you more options and avoids the issues a built-in rechargeable battery could pose. In a device or flashlight with a built-in rechargeable battery if the battery fails then the whole device is useless and must be thrown away. That will not happen with this flashlight. Plus, if you want to use rechargeable batteries you can or you can just use standard AAs.The base also has a hole molded into it which will allow a lanyard to be attached, which is a nice option. However, no lanyard is included with the unit. It’s a great flashlight for walking or hiking because you don’t have to hold your hand or wrist in any odd or twisted position in order to get the light out in front of you. You can carry it for a long period in a very relaxed and comfortable position with your hand at your side and use the swivel head to aim the light in front of you. When walking or hiking the light easily projects about 12 – to 15 feet ahead. The magnetic base is excellent for changing a tire in the dark or working on other equipment where you need some light. Just attach the magnet to any ferromagnetic metal like steel and use the swivel head to aim the light – works great under a car/truck or even under the hood.Score-wise this flashlight earns a 5 for Form, a 5 for Function and a 5 for Cost Benefit Ratio.

I Love these and bought a second one.
These are great, nice and light, and yet throw out a good amount of light.I carry one around the house, and have one upstairs and down stairs. They are light, but I am not sure how durable. They seem to be fine for my light duty use.I wish the head panned down further to illuminate close hand work, but the degree it does pan down is still quite usable.I also wish they were USB chargeable, at least as an option, but realize Energizer is in the business to sell batteries, so am not hopeful this will become a feature.

Doesn't hold up
Last update. Second one went into the trash tonight as it just stopped working. Never again.Update, July 2017: From five stars to two. Never dropped it, but now it only turns on half the time. Have to mess with the battery cover, and if I get it just right (not in full closed position) it will work. Thought it would hold up more than 4-5 months. Guess I'll look for a different brand. Too bad...liked the pivot head which still works fine.Feb 2017: Great flashlight. Love the size, the ability to set it down and adjust the beam, the magnet to attach to things when needed. And it's powerful for my purposes. Not only would I buy again....I did to have two around.

Great Utility Light For The Price.
I purchased a few of these just to keep as inexpensive lights to use at work, when I'm working in groups and everybody needs a little light so they can see and this was perfect. The output won't knock your socks off, but it's good enough to see in the general vicinity, the rotating head and rubber overmold makes for good ergonomics and a nice grip, has a lanyard loop and magnetic bottom to help with light retention, and it takes two easily findable AA batteries. It's a handy little light overall for the price and I winded up buying a half dozen or so more, just because it came in at a nice price and is a good value for what you're spending it on. It's a good light to have around in case you need it.

Great light pattern with a couple of minor design flaws.
I really would like to give this five stars. The beam is well designed for a work light. At about 3 feet it lights up an area about 3 feet in diameter. The dual setting is great because it allows you to reduce the amount of light in an enclosed area so it's not too bright.Pros:Great lighting design.Light.Strong magnet.Cons:When the base is being held by the magnet if you try to turn it it actually unscrews the base. The problem is that it then disconnects the contacts to the battery and the light goes out. I resolved this by using a 1/16" O-ring around the threaded base and that holds it tight. The switch is too sensitive. I find that by simply putting it into my work bag sometimes it turns it on.The height. If they were to put the batteries side by side it would fit into a lot more spaces.Overall it's a very good work light. The cons are just enough to lose a star.I would buy another one even with the cons. It's worth the price if you just pay attention and make a tiny modification.

This is a great flashlight!
I love this flashlight! I had to buy another after I received the first one.Nice and bright and feels good in hand.I gave three stars for battery life and durability because, well, I just don't know yet. The flashlight feels VERY durable, but I haven't had to check this yet.One cool feature, that I didn't see mentioned in the description, if you hold the button in for a moment, the flashlight will dim, starting at full intensity and then down to low. Nice.EDITI downgraded my rating to three stars. Two reasons. The biggest is the battery life. This thing eats batteries. The second is the switch. It's WAY too easy to accidentally turn this thing on.
