I didn't wash it but now worried that I should have** A: I didn't wash them either and everything turned out fine. I used it to strain elderflowers to make cordial. No problems **Q: Would these be any goid for filtering liquids.. ie fruits in spirit? Or are the wholes too big of the fabric?** A: Ideal for filtering liquids to make jelly or for fruits in spirits . I use mine for jams jelly, vinegars , cheese ... the fabric is fine as its not bulky but the weave is tight so no holes in it ..you can then wash and dry refuse again and again . .. for jams you can pop lemons pips into cloth , tie and put in with fruit .then remove after cooking there is 3 pieces so ideal for different jobs **Q: Can it be ironed?** A: I only use muslin for cooking and straining jellies and yoghurt so ironing is not a priority.
