How long stick last? Does cover grey roots?

It does cover grey roots if you use enough of it. It will wash off or wipe off when you clean your face. The duration of the stick depends on how often you use it. If you were using it daily it might last over a month, assuming touch-ups were minimal. It is not a replacement for color root-touch up, it just makes it last a little longer if you can't do it right away.

Is this tested on animals?

My hair is not black but is a very dark brown and my Hairstylist uses it about every 3-4 weeks between colors.

Do I need to wash this out before applying permanent color?

I always wash it out before I have permanent color applied. I am not a professional hair stylist- that is just my preference.

can you use this on eyebrows?

You technically could but I wouldn’t. Mostly because the tip is thicker so fine lines for eyebrows would be a challenge IMO
