Nice clock, not the big one in the picture
This is a very nice, moderately priced midcentury-style clock. However, I ordered the largest size available, and though it looks fine, it is around 27-28”—not I discovered the one in the picture, which must be 36” plus. The ends of the prongs on mine are not sharply pointed, as in the picture but are blunted—still looks nice, though, just not as large as I had imagined, though the given measurements are indeed accurate. The central dial is much darker brass colored compared to the picture, which with black numbers, makes the clock not as easy to read as would a silver dial.

It keeps time accurately
This is a lightweight clock so I don't mind if I have to change the battery, which was important to me because my previous pendulum clock was a chore due to it's weight. A plus is that it uses a regular AA battery. I've had it almost a month and it runs just fine. Even after a hurricane.. My only issue is that the color is more grey than blue. I bought a rug to pick up the dark teal. A disappointment. Also when there is a glare from sunshine or lamplight it's hard to read. Ideally there would be a band of black color with the numbers in gold making it easier to read. No issues with vendor. I had no trouble putting on the hands once I realized you push down, not screw, the hands into place. And the points are not as sharp as someone else stated. Therefore, the measurement is smaller than described. Which was important because I needed a certain size to cover scratches on the wall from previous clock.

Not as "pointy" as the photos. Weak battery.
The blue points aren't as sharp in person, probably not a bad thing. ;)The carbon zinc "Heavy Duty" battery they reccomend lasted exactly 12 hours and 50 minutes before running out. I'm glad I got a pack of 4, but that's not a sustainable run time for a clock. 2 batteries a day = 730 a year... O_OThe hands do not come installed and there are no instructions for installing them. However if you watch some clock kit videos on YouTube it becomes plain. The center of the clock has a plastic stem with a wide base, a narrow top, and a pinhole in the very top.You place the hour hand on first, using a small socket to apply even pressure until it's firmly seated around the wide base. Once it's on, you should be able to rotate the arm with even pressure, it won't be loose. Then do the same with the minute hand around the narrower top of the stem. Finally, the second hand has a pin that goes in the pinhole on the top.Make sure each hand can rotate freely without getting hung up on any of the others (my second hand kept wanting to catch on the minute hand.)

So stylish, I'm in love!
I grew up with mid century modern furniture, and I am just now getting back into it. Can't afford to change all my furniture, so I'm throwing in some big century accents here and there. I absolutely love this clock! It came a few days early, and was very easy to assemble. The second hand kept getting stuck on the 10, but after a little bit of tweaking it works perfectly. The color is a beautiful slate blue, that goes with just about anything. I am absolutely in love!
