Doesn't have the impact of Season 1, but still a show worth watching
After I finished watching Season 1 of "How to Get Away with Murder" I was primed to watch Season 2. I then go over to Hulu to watch Season 2 and they are not making the series available from episode one. After thoroughly enjoying the story, actors, and premise of Season 1, I was desperate to know what happens next. That meant shelling out 25 bucks for Season 2. (I rationalized by remembering that a night out at the movies for two is like 40 bucks with snacks.)Viola Davis is a wonder. There were many great scenes in Season 1. I'm remembering a few scenes from Season 2, but they just didn't have the impact of Season 1. For example, the last scene between Viola and her mother, played by the incomparable Cicely Tyson, is stunning.I don't want to say I was completely disappointed. Would I shell out 25 bucks again? Not sure. I might not be able to wait for it to come on Netflix. It was still great acting, but some of the dynamics between the characters was starting to get a bit stale. Season 2 relies way too much on sex. I get that sex sells, and I'm just as red-blooded as any other middle-aged woman. (No groans from the younger set; we ain't dead yet.) The ending was a surprise and has left me wanting for Season 3. Unless I can't find another show to binge on, I'll probably shell out 25 bucks again. The snacks at home are cheaper and taste better. :-)

A Brilliant ADULT show - I LOVE THIS SHOW - 4stars for mucking sexcapeds that rarely support the plot in every episode. Sick...!
WARNING - There are rather explicit sex scenes in every episode that are DISTURBING. Just turn your head, and and skip through. You won't miss anything that you cannot bridge. This series is not for someone who doesn't appreciate delving into a show. (Basically, participating) You cannot kick back soley to be entertained. I LOVE BRAINY SHOWS that have so many twists and turns that even "I" cannot predict. Everything is so predictable today - Attempting to survive Zombie Apocalypses in harsh environments. A few are genuinely excellent. "But hey, most are a special kind of stupid. ENOUGH...! Writers, if you can't do anything novel - don't write." This would receive FIVE STARS if everyone was not bisexual or worse. WHY did they do this? The series is FRESH AND WELL CRAFTED.....! It's absolutely amazing. I stumbled over a sort of book club on Youtube. True! They discuss every episode after it airs. No, I have not listened to them... and won't. The show has been renewed for a third season, and I hope there shall be a 4th - 5th - ...... I hang on every word. You can now watch the full 1st season, but I could not find the 2nd season anywhere. This is the only season of any show that I have purchased. IT'S THAT GOOD!!! Ciao

I don't usually like TV/shows, but THIS is the exception!!!
What I love about this particular murder show, is that even though the main characters are indeed killers, they still are (this feels weird to write, but it's true) very likeable people who you are cheering on and hoping stay a step ahead of the law. Often times with killer shows, even when other viewers seem to like the main character/characters, I still just simply can't feel very deeply for the protagonist(s). This is an exception. They are all very human and, (again, feels strange to write, but,) relatable. That fact, paired with not only the excellent storyline which is full of surprises, yet not toooo far off beyond the realm of plausibly existing in the real world (another issue I have with many shows, things need to feel believable to me, to an extent,) plus the superb acting, makes for a great watch. I'm someone who certainly prefers novels 9 times out of 10, but I just can't seem to get enough of this....

The only other TV show that I have ever loved enough to buy on disc is Downton Abbey
The only other TV show that I have ever loved enough to buy on disc is Downton Abbey. I love this show enough that I wanted it to be a permanent part of my DVD collection (movies). But I did want to leave feedback. This was a pre-order deal, and Amazon did send it as soon as it was available and everything concerning the shipment, charges, arrival, etc. went as it should. Very dependable. My only complaint that didn't make it a perfect 5 stars is very minor. The clear plastic that covers the DVD case itself and holds the paper cover in place is warped/wrinkled.....as if heat damaged it maybe?? But the discs are fine and all played perfectly. I don't feel like that is even a complaint as much as just feedback.

OMG!!!
Believe it or not but season two is even better than season one! While the mystery of who killed Sam has been answered, we were left with the mystery of who killed Rebecca. Although this is addressed in the first episode, there are several other mysteries that keep the viewer riveted!UPDATE: 05/21/16: I started watching a couple of episodes and before I knew it, I had watched 12!! Highly recommend this show if you love a good mystery. This show contains adult situations with graphic sexual activity depicted between straight and homosexual couples, violence is minimal and there is no foul language however due to the excessive sexual content, this show may not be appropriate for everyone.

Viola Davis My Hero
As a criminal defense attorney, I find the courtroom scenes quite realistic. The legal issues well researched, and the attorney client relationship portrayed with more humanity than I've seen on so called legal "hits" like Law and Order. A show that stubbornly refuses to change the portrayal of the defense attorney as one dimensionl, money grubbing, and unethical, while the prosecutors are only seeking justice. After practicing for 20+ years I know that is far from true. Analise Keating is flawed but has a defense attorney's heart, and the brains to back up the fight. Viola Davis is, well, what can I say? Brilliant. More seasons please?

This show is great!!
This is a such a fun show, I look forward to it every week. Viola Davis is just fantastic. The plot lines always keep you guessing. The things that go on in this show would never happen in real life and are entirely unrealistic, but Davis pulls it off, she makes it work. She also has the best clothes and accessories. Is that just me? Great necklaces, broaches, etc.I feel the remaining characters are little inconsistent and hit or miss. I wish each season would introduce new students. The current crop aren't really doing it for me, and when it's a plot on them only, my interest wanes.

HTGAWM Season 2- Fun Viewing
This second series of HTGAWM was as enjoyable as the first, please keep it coming! In season 2 we find out some 'truths' about who has done what to who, with moreof the back stories on Bonnie and Frank and surprisingly Annalise Keating is shot! The same strong cast portray the characters that they are playing very well, with a few new characters coming and going with each episode. I love Viola Davis toughand uncompromising portrayal of Annalise but who still shows quite a few of the characters vulnerabilities as well.Veteran actor Cicely Tyson, now aged 92 at the time of writing this, makes a longerappearance as the mother of Annalise in this season and still has what it takes withquality acting. Not sure how season 3 will unfold as so much has happened already, but I amlooking forward to its being on sale here on Amazon UK.Running time approx 619 minutes.15 episodes on 4 discs. With subtitles.

How To Get Away With Murder - Season 2
Picking up from the cliffhangers of season 1, season 2 of HTGAWM wastes no time throwing us headlong into both another mystery (this time based around flash forwards instead of flashbacks as in the first season), plus the fallout for the characters from the events before.I still enjoyed it a lot, the cast led by the formidable Viola Davis (this time joined by Famke Janssen as a blast from Annalise's past), but I did feel that in its attempts to top season 1, some of the twists and turns started to pile up just a bit too much, as the past's of key characters come back in unexpected ways to haunt them. But, as ever, we get answers which only leave more questions in the finale, so I can't wait for season 3 to be released!Poor extras though, a few minutes of bloopers and deleted scenes.

She's Back and she's Doubly Marvellous!
Ha ha Viola's back and twice as manic and magnificent! Check out the worst (for closeups of fingers, and churning dressed bodies - The L Word MUCH better) lesbian sex scenes around - oops I should have said that was a spoiler. Never mind because elsewhere the wonderful Shonda Rhimes continues to pile on the drama. How lovely Viola, an actress destined to play all the great tragic characters, keeps a straight face as each day the bodies pile up and they have to keep covering up for each other - it's a hoot. Viola is fantastic. And I'm even getting used to the irritating kids apart from Wes who remains irritating. Without being supposed to make you irritated like Asher.

More twists and turns than Hampton Court Maze.
Overwrought hardly begins to describe Season 2. The dialogue is as clunky as ever and the word "cliche" actually features twice in one particular episode. The relationships between the various characters chop and change at whim of whichever scriptwriter is being used at any one time and the time shifts can occasionally be confusing - best to keep an eye on whichever wig Viola Davis is wearing as a clue . Despite all it's shortcomings the series is compulsive viewing provided you just go with the flow and don't concern yourself with plot holes. Roll on Season 3 !

Fabulous. Shonda Rhymes never disappoints and Viola Davis and the crew are phenomenal. The plot and twists are so mesmerising, that I watched the whole series in one weekend. Now just waiting for the third to be available. I could seriously watch this on tap every day.
