This is an absolute must have, especially if you already have a bunch of Craftsman power tools/batteries.I have some trees on my property and this works great for trimming them and cutting up fallen branches etc.I didn't want to spend the money on a gas chainsaw since I wouldn't be using it a lot, and this is perfect for anyone who needs a chainsaw a handful of times a year.I'm able to cut through 6-8in thick branches with ease, and smaller branches cut like butter.Battery life varies based on how heavily you use it, I bought a couple larger batteries to use with it for larger jobs like the stick pile I have pictured below.The included battery is more than adequate if you're just using it for smaller trim/cutting jobs.

This lil saw is amazing. Best $130 I’ve spent on a long time. Perfect for up to 8” limbs.Light weight and powerful. Our tree in the front yard was a mess. Was quoted $400.I did it all with this saw. The tree looks beautiful. Get you one. You won’t be disappointed

It all starts with your first battery operated Craftsman tool. Years later, your Amazon Wishlist is packed with more Craftsman V20 toys ... I mean "tools" that you cannot live without. This chainsaw was one such item.This year, I finally hit the buy button on this Mini Chainsaw so I could venture into the woods with my family and tag a Christmas tree.After adding some chainsaw oil and slapping in a freshly charged battery, the chainsaw came to life.The chainsaw worked well and made quick work of the Christmas tree. Since we were in the woods with a bunch of downed trees, we spend some time slicing logs and trimming branches off said downed trees.This isn't a gas powered chainsaw, so I wouldn't use this as a daily chainsaw, but if you need to occasionally use it and you already have invested in other V20 tools, it's a great chainsaw to add to the collection.We will be taking it with us when we go camping and off-roading now.

I love the chainsaw. I'm a Craftsman woman. I have all their battery powered tools. I use this saw daily to cut my firewood to fit my tiny woodstove. It works well and cuts logs easily. However, the charger I received with the saw is horrible. I can charge 2 batteries in less time than that charger can charge half of a battery. I would recommend buying a different charger than the one included.

Zero stars ! Used it very lightly over 21 months. It mostly sat on the shelf—total cutting maybe half a cord of wood or less. Always kept the chain oiled, followed the manual to the letter, made sure everything was well-lubricated and tensioned properly.Then the drive gear (sprocket) straight-up broke.Grinds internally, as if it’s grinding its metal hamburger inside No abuse, no heavy work, no pinching or kickback incidents just normal light firewood cuts.This feels like a designed-to-fail part. For such minimal use, it shouldn’t die this early, especially right after warranty expires. Total junk in my book save your money and look elsewhere.Would not buy again, and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.🙄???Well, get this! 😇their customer service made up the difference. They’re sending me a new unit. Go figure! I have a change of heart.!!

day 1... battery lasted less than 25 minutes, so we thought well we will let it charge again ag try tomorrow.day 2... it goes through bar oil faster than it does battery and battery lif is no better than day 1. every other branch ( which is no bigger than 2 inches) it throws the chain off. it is so oily that you have to wipe everything off and then fight to get it back on as it is a tight fit. Spend more time charging and working on this than you every do working on and yard work... out of all the yard tools we have this is the worst. does not cut well, as itpulls you into the branches, it is light light but that is no use if you are always working on it. Comes with only one battery which last very litttle time and takes hours to charge.

I have many craftsman 20 volt cordless tools so when I ordered this when I became aware of it. I have used it a LOT since my purchase because it is amazingly effective, easy-to-use, easy on batteries, lightweight, and small. It can cut surprisingly large branches, surprisingly easily and quickly. I had used even smaller chainsaws but they did not have an oil reservoir but when I saw that this had one, I gave away the other one and got this. It is easy on oil and I have cut a lot of wood with the original chain with no need for sharpening yet. This is ideal for pruning trees.

Not a bad little saw for light work around the house or to throw in your ATV. The battery will only last about 20 minutes with regular use if you’re lucky. Works good for my intended use.

Doesn’t small chainsaw things very well, light weight and not to hard in the battery
