If ur a diy guy, This is a must have! I am not a professional mechanic, just mechanically enclined. I've worked on my own cars/motors since i was 19 yrs old and became a machine operator and mechanical tech changing large bearings on a roll to roll laminator. Today I'm 49 yrs old. I mention this just to provide a little back ground. Although this is advertised as a U joint puller its also a ball joint press. This is a very well made tool. I used an 800 psi pneumatic impact and had no issues, my U joints didn't come off without a fight. This is a heavy duty clamp and the the additional items included are just as strong and well built. Honestly, this item is worth every penny. This same item is about $140 - $200 at a local auto parts retailer. I would not hesitate to make this purchase again. It literally paid for itself on my 1st job. I pulled the drivrshaft off an 05 Ford F150 to remove both u joints on either side. Do i recommend this item? Definitely! My 2003 chevy tahoe needed an upper ball joint replaced. I bought this tool to do it myself. Tool worked great, I did grease the treads, I can't remember if it says to do so or not. I didn't use an impact, I used a long breaker bar to remove and reinstall. I wanted more control, I think most of the "tool bent" reviews they may have used an impact. Great tool worked perfect for my vehicle.
