Good quality at a fair price
Have used a few of these cables with my music system to connect preamp to power amp, DAC to preamp, CD/SACD player to integrated amp and with an AV processor thrown. Work well with everything. The cable plugs have a firm fit to the equipment but are not overly tight, unlike the QED Performance Graphite which are extremely tight but they are so difficult to remove that one could easily damage the terminals of the equipment in the process. These KabelDirekt plugs are tight but not too tight.Have compared the fit and sound quality to a range of other cables that I own. Van den Hul - The Well (over £100 a pair), QED Performance Graphite (about £23), Primewire (about £7). The Primewire I found to be the least tight and could easily come loose when fiddling about with the various interconnections, the Van den Hul has about the same fit as the KabelDirekt, while the QED is absurdly over tight. All sound the same and my system is high end, it is very easy to believe that one does hear a difference when comparing cables or any other bits of HiFi equipment but all too often I have realised later with more careful testing that there is no difference. If there is a real difference it should be easy to hear and that difference should stay there on repeated listening.Interesting to note that some high end equipment makers say that exotic cables are not needed, just use short cables with good connections, low resistance and robust mechanical quality. The only time I found a difference with cables was with a cheap balanced XLR pair which effectively isolated the signal from extraneous interference noise but actually made the sound worse for some unexplained reason. Maybe for balanced cables they were just too cheap.

Cable is ok, connectors are not
Used to link my TV to my stereo. The cable is ok, but the phono connectors are poor quality, (they are loose fitting and poorly formed). I have since replaced the connectors with others of better quality. making the original purchase poor value.

Quality Cable
I'm not one of these people who will spend vast amounts on interconnects. I'm not saying it's all snake oil but there is the law of diminishing returns and spending £50 plus on a short piece of cable is not top priority. If you've already spent tens of thousands on your kit then you may seriously consider that expenditure. For me I just wanted a decent bit of cable to replace the very poor 1.5m cable that I was using.I found the rca plugs were a good fit for my equipment, not loose as some people have commented. This runs between my Rotel RDD-980 CD Transport and the matching Rotel RDP-980 Digital Processor. My only criticism is that, for my set up, I would have preferred the option of a 0.3m cable.Anyway, power up and push some music through and the difference was immediately noticeable. Everything seemed a little tighter and the highs had a bit more zing. Now you have to bear in mind that this improvement is over a really poor quality cable but even so I found the difference remarkable. So that's it. If you're not the audiophile with a small fortune invested in hifi but you still want a decent cable, decent for the average man's or woman's quality audio equipment (perhaps vintage like mine) then you need look no further.I'm getting another KabelDirekt interconnect now to complete the hook up to my 'new' vintage Rotel RA-971 amp.

Excellent in terms of build quality and especially in terms of sound quality
I've purchased several items from KabelDirekt ... because the first one I got was so excellent and of such high quality (in terms of build quality AND especially in terms of sound quality) ... that now I keep coming back to them to buy more stuff. I can't stop myself. Somebody please help me. These KabelDirekt products are the all-time bargain of the century in terms of audio bang-for-buck. You can really tell that they've put a huge effort into making a quality product that works well, that lasts, and that most importantly lets the music through crystal clear. OK, they are not as good as £200 cables from Chord (a UK high-end audio cable manufacturer) ... but they get you 85% of the way - and you'd really need a system that's way above average to tell the difference. So ... buy these cables with confidence, you will not regret it. I've had years of experience with all sorts of audio cables, including ultimate hi-fi ones costing several hundred pounds for just a short length ... and, compared to those, or to anything else on the market, KabelDirekt are absolutely unbeatable value. Forget the 2 quid, 3 quid, 5 quid type cables - just spend a couple of extra quid on these, and you'll be sorted.
