Not a whole book! It could of been a good book of it didn't end when it got going. Why oh why can't we right a whole book !?

If you like karma, you will certainly like this book.Bullies are really cowards, that’s why they are bullies. And here we have cowardice at it best. But the new girl in school isn’t easily taken down. She knows how to give every bit as well as she gets.👁 OBSERVATIONS:This is a fun and quick read…. too quick. It really needs better development to fill in the ‘gaps’ that leave you wondering.What gaps? Well, when is the truth coming out about Chase’s car. Something has to happen for that video to be brought to light show exactly who keyed the car.And how about the hooded, masked guy who threatened and tased Mackenzie? Just where and how is Bruce and Maddie involved?Then, there is Chase’s dad….he’s a royal mess. Does he turn his life around and become a real father?

I loved this story and the characters, as it has hot guys, sexual tension, a great story and lots of trouble. There are surprises and parts that mad me mad and parts that made me laugh my head off!The writing was wonderful as it is so well written and mesmerizing. I can't get enough of the "bullying" theme and the sexiness that usually comes with it.I cannot wait to read the next book of this Diamond Lake series. I hope it will continue on and even expand into the other characters and their stories.Awesome!!!

I loved this book. I love Mack’s friends. I love that Mack stands up for herself and doesn’t take crap off anyone. No spoilers here/ I can’t wait for the next book. This is the first book I read from this author but it won’t be the last. If you like bully books then you will like this one.

I don't usually read YA books but this one caught my eye. Very well written with a wonderful story about bullies in high school and how one student turned the tables on those that bullied her only for being the new kid.

I downloaded The Burn, a high school bully romance, which is part of the Diamond Lake series, as a free ebook from Amazon. While I found the high school mean girls a bit over-the-top, I loved Mackenzie and her common sense contempt for the machinations of her peers. I loved the ending where we are treated to a revenge scenario that still has me evil-smiling. Perfect.

So this was recommended to me, I liked the synopsis so here I am. I liked the fact the story was set in a town, rather than just high school all the time. I also liked the introduction of characters and how they interacted with each other....this said it just seemed to lack something, I don't know why but at one point I could have happily just stopped reading and started another book but I hate doing that and like to see a book to the end. I think for me the plot lacked depth and grit, Chase wasnt 'alpha' enough for me the way he let his pyscho ex fool him and manipulate him and she in turn took things way to far, it just seemed unbelievable. A part of me wants to read the next book but the price is too steep and reviews not that great so for me I won't bother...sorry! I hate leaving negative reviews in any way but this just wasn't for me!!

This book was good. Not the best dark bully romance I've read so far, but it still deserves 5 stars. The slow burn romance between chase and mckenzie wasn't my fave part of the book but I hope they sort their differences out and find each other again.

Brilliant book can't wait to read next one Could read this book again one of my top ten books 😊

So as far as HSBR go, this was average. I mean, I liked it and would like to know what happens in the next book but at the same time, I'm not sure I want to pay for it as I wasn't totally hooked.An enjoyable read but would've liked a little more romance or smut in there.
