Can anyone attest that it will hold up in these conditions - we’ve struck out several times. Thanks!** A: we had 15 - 25 mph winds at the Outer Banks and the tent stayed up with no problem as long as you keep the window flaps open and put the back of the tent into the wind. Bring along better tent stakes...the short thin ones work fine for the guylines but are not sturdy enough for the anchor points. The sand pouches are the best for keeping the tent on the ground in windy conditions and you can just turn them inside out to empty them! **Q: My local beach (Santa Monica) only allows “sun shade without walls” does this tent fall in that category?** A: Your mileage may vary. Plenty of homeless with tents on the beach and dogs both on/off leash (dogs not allowed either). Just depends on which lifeguards are on duty and if they feel like enforcing it. I imagine if all the flaps are open then they won't mind so much. Having the flaps open allows for transparency - you can't hide your illegal activities if everything is open. **Q: I’m looking for a four man tent that you can stand up in** A: This is not it **Q: Would this be good for 4 8yo boys to sit under on sidleines during a soccer game to shade sun?** A: Yes it would ## Frequently Bought Together - Oileus X-Large 4 Person Beach Tent Sun Shelter - Portable Sun Shade Instant Tent for Beach with Carrying Bag, Stakes, 6 Sand Pockets, Anti UV for Fishing Hiking Camping, Waterproof Windproof, Orange - BYDOLL Beach Blanket 78''X81'' 4-7 Adults Oversized Lightweight Waterproof Sandproof Blanket for Beach Large Picnic Mat Travel Camping --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/295464601-oileus-x-large-4-person-beach-tent-sun-shelter-portable](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/295464601-oileus-x-large-4-person-beach-tent-sun-shelter-portable) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
