KOREA VSI P

I'm a big fan of the VSI series of books and this was a good example of why. Easy to read in just a few days (and could be done in one sitting if pushed!) and a great overview of the history of the Korean peninsular that I learned a lot from. Written well and up-to-date (goes to as recent as 2019 I think) it gives an overview of 5000 years of history, with a particular focus on the 20th century onwards.

A short but comprehensive history. Well-written. Offers a history of one part of the world few know about with any certainty, the view of the Korean of themselves and their opinion of the world outside and the involvement and interference of other countries.
