We bought these straps to keep a thick futon folded when not in use. The quick-release buckles seem to be able to handle the pressure of the futon wanting to spring back. Sometimes I have to realign the buckles to get them to snap straight, but I think that's a product of the tension versus the buckle itself.Once secured, we use the straps to lift and carry the approximately 34-pound futon to its storage box. We've been using them daily for two months and they continue to be durable. We like them so much we are buying a set of five foot straps from this same company for a different purpose. Great quality and value for the money.

Bought several lengths to span the top mounts of the pontoons on my boat. Making them nice and tight allowed me to thread my perpendicular boat cover straps easily through these horizontal straps and keep the boat cover tight without having to get into the river when the rains are coming. Simple but strong apparatus for what I needed. Shipping was quick as usual.

These utility straps have many uses. I personally use these straps while traveling. These straps are much shorter than their advertised length, which meant they did not work for my application. They’re approximately 152” each, nearly 3’ shorter than advertised.

yeah it is pretty darn stout and darn good. Longer than I thought ( My fault I thought it was 6 ft each. It is actually like 13ft each). They have plenty of strength both in the buckle and the strap. Def can use it for hiking. Heck you may even be able to make a hip repel seat out of it (formally known as the swiss seat).
