Two Lost Souls…Found.
Dane was the only survivor of an airplane crash that left him horribly scared. He chose to make himself at home on an island so that he could be away from people because of the way he felt about his appearance . Kenzie is also hiding her scars, both physical and mental. Unfortunately, she is poor and has to live every day trying to survive both financially and running from people who wish her harm. Their lives come together to make a beautiful love story. I loved the story, but I wished it had just moved from begging to the end. There were a lot of flashbacks that made it a bit choppy. However, It didn’t take a lot away my enjoyment of the story.

Huge SIGH!
Wow! I think this is one of the best stories J.S. Scott has written! It made me laugh. It made me cry. There were gasps and heart stopping moments. And of course, the sighs. It was all here in an un-put-downable story. I loved Dane and Kenzie's story. They both deserved to find each other and happiness. It leaves me sighing.

It just keeps getting better
I just finished Damaged and every one of the Walker brother books were just wonderful. I couldn't believe this last book would measure up to the first two but was I wrong. Watching these two damaged souls heal each other with love touched my heart. Thank you for another wonderful story.

A wonderful conclusion to the Walker Brothers series!
Damaged was the third book in the Walker Brothers series by JS Scott.Dane Walker was the youngest Walker brother. He was in a plane crash at nineteen that killed his father and step mother. Although he was the lone survivor, he had horrible scars both internally and externally. Then as one of the richest men in the world, he bought a private island and secluded himself.Kenzie Jordan was born into a cruel life and it never got any better. She learned to be independent and to take care of herself, trusting no one. Trace and Sebastian Walker hired Kenzie to be Dane’s assistant on his private island. She grasped at the life line for a new life. The sparks flew from the onset but both had mountains of issues that wouldn’t allow either one to act upon them. As such, Scott began to unravel their secrets, fears, and obstacles. It was told with a dual POV and bounced between present day and past for both, leading us to the present/future where their lives overlapped. It was well written and well developed with depth and dimension. Amidst the pain, discovery, healing and protectiveness was a foundation of sweetness and love. It read quickly and I thoroughly enjoyed it.The Walker Brothers are now concluded and I hate to see them go, so hopefully Scott will either add cousins or include them as guests in her Billionaire series!

Soul deep damaged couple find understanding and love in each other
Damaged is an appropriate title for Dane and Kenzie, both. Dane was nearly killed in the plane accident that took his father's life. He buys and moves to a private island after he was released from the hospital. He has had multiple reconstructive surgeries, but can't see the improvements and still thinks he is a monster who must shun society. He tries to keep convincing himself that he will be OK being alone.Kenzie grew up ultra poor in the home of drug runners and abusers. She also has physical scars from an attack. Understandably, she trusts almost no one. She was fired from her last job for being unwilling to sleep with the boss and is down to her last five dollars when Dane's older brothers hire her to be Dane's assistant to his art business as a world famous artist.Dane has no idea Kenzie is coming and his knee-jerk reaction is to get her off his island, as soon as possible, any way necessary. Kenzie needs the work, has nowhere else to go and won't accept a cash amount to leave without earning it. So begins the first of many conflicts, compromises and slow understanding between this couple. You will enjoy the slow dance to them truly seeing each other soul deep and their growing love. They will fight their feelings for a while, but it is hard to deny the rare person who honestly "gets" you and cares about you.

Damaged was fantastic !!! Loved It !!
Ever since I started the Walkers Brothers series I have been counting down the days until Dane story would be out so when Damaged came out I was so happy I literally did a happy dance. If I could have bear hugged J.S. Scott I would because I have been counting down the days until this book was released.I don't think it would be a shocker when I said I dived into this story as soon as I could, just based on how excited I was lol. I loved this story, omg did I love this story, it was fantastic! .Watching Dane and Kenzie's story play out was just fantastic. Both of these people have been through some very traumatic experiences so seeing them find love and happiness made me so happy. The romance was sexy, fun and all-consuming. I swear it was like my eyes became the flash by the way I was speeding through this book just and just gives you an Idea of how addicting it was .I could go on and on about how fantastic this book is J.S.Scott has created another fantastic story .I am sad to be ending the Walkers Brothers series because I have become so attached to these characters but at the same time I am eager to see what J.S.Scott will write next.If you love all these things in your books you should definitely get a copy as soon as you can this book was fantastic.

My favorite of the series
I absolutely love this book. It is by far my favorite of the series. The pain and struggles that Kenzie and Dane went through in their pasts really seemed real to me. The way they both pushed through to survive really inspired me. This book has a slightly different writing style for J.S Scott. There were a lot of flash backs to the past so we could get small brief firsthand glimpses of the characters' pasts. It is not my preferred writing style as I don't enjoy a lot of skipping around, but the chapters with the flashbacks were only a page or two long so it was tolerable. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance books with damaged heroes who find equally damaged heroines and heal each other. You can read this book as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend that you read the Walker Brothers Series in order so you understand all the back stories. Especially for Dane and Kenzie.

WOW.
If book 2 is emotional then so is this one. My heart broken for both Dane and Kenzie as we also get their backstory too in this book. Gutted that I have now finished this series.

Another brilliant read
Another brilliant read from Jan. Dane and Kenzie were made for each other they’re past were aligned and fate stepped in or at least fate in the form of Trace and Sebastian Walker Dane brothers to hire Kenzie to be Dane's personal assistant. They both endured a horrendous past but they both came through it and when they eventually get together they healed each other. It’s a brilliant read and the only thing I want to know is whether Lucky goes with them at the end. I hope there is more or other books that were able to catch up with these characters to see how they’re doing a couple of years later.
