Honeywell Cool Moisture Humidifier White Ultra Quiet with Auto Shut-Off, Variable Settings & Wicking Filter for Small to Medium Rooms, Bedroom, Baby Room

My 6-month-old son had a perpetual crusty nose after we moved to Boston. I decided a humidifier in his room might help. I did a lot of research on humidifier types before settling on a filter-based evaporative humidifier. We wanted something safe, effective, and low maintenance.When I was 2 years old, I burned my cheek on a warm steam humidifier, so that kind was off the table. Not letting history repeat itself with my kid.I also decided against cool steam that disperses water with ultrasonic technology, because it can cause condensation on nearby surfaces due to over-saturation of water in the air. It also releases minerals that may be present in the water, also known as “white dust,” which can settle on furniture. If I wanted to avoid white dust, then I’d need to get distilled water for it (no way am I hauling gallons of distilled water to my apartment just for my humidifier).So I settled on evaporative. I love this humidifier for several reasons.PROS:- no white dust- no burns- does not over-saturate the air (because water will not evaporate if there is too much of it in the air already).- the sound of the fan is actually a big bonus for us. Saves us from having to buy a humidifier AND a white noise machine (fan-based ones can be pretty pricey) for our baby’s room. The high fan is just the right amount of white noise for him.- this particular model is easy to clean, in my opinion.- it’s simple. There is a knob with off-low-high settings, and THAT’S IT. And that’s all I want.CONS:- you really do have to replace the filter. I buy off-brand, so they’re relatively cheap ($6 per filter), but I probably replace it about once a month. That’s a maintenance cost other humidifiers don’t have (unless you’re buying distilled water for them).- you still do have to clean it. I wipe it down inside & out with a Clorox wipe once a week or so, and do a deep clean when I replace the filter. That seems to do the trick.All in all, we love it. My son’s crusty nose has gone away and when I walk into his room it is always comfortable. I never feel like I’ve walked into an icky damp rainforest or a dry desert (unless I’ve forgotten to refill the water tank).Well worth the money, if you ask me!

I'm really pleased that I purchased this humidifier! Finally, no more white dust all over the house! It's compact, it's quiet, easy to fill, and it improves the humidity very well. My home is comfy and finally free of that icky dust. I tried four humidifiers before getting this one, and I am so glad I finally found one that performs well for an affordable price. It's attractive and does the job well. This one is definitely a keeper.

The media could not be loaded.  We had previously purchased another humidifier that worked but would get caked with red mold daily. It was SO annoying because I had to clean it daily and every time I cleaned it I could not get all the red mold off (even after using cue tips).I was SO happy when we got this humidifier with a built in filter. I only have to wash it about once a month or less. Even when I do wash it, there is nowhere near as much red mold as the other one accumulated in a single day. It is super easy to clean!It runs very smoothly and the well doesn’t get used up too quickly. I do wish there was a third setting. It only has a high and a low setting. I use high because not enough comes out on low. This is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.We love the white noise it creates. We used to play meditation music at night but we don’t need to anymore because the sound of this machine makes the perfect soothing sound.

I've had this humidifier for 6 months. At first it didn't work well at all because the brand name filter that came with it wouldn't stay upright. It just collapsed inside the humidifier so there was very little mist at all on the high setting and none on the low setting! I start looking for a filter that would fit and stay upright. Once I found filters that fit and held there shape, these filters made a HUGE difference! Plus I saved a lot of money compare to the cost per filter compared to the cost of the filter that came with the humidifier. I was ready to toss this humidifier in the trash until I changed to a different brand of filter.I'm use this humidifier in my kitchen daily. Even my dogs are breathing easier and sneezing a lot less and the two that have dry eye problems have less dryness in their eyes which saves me money on their eye ointment that costs $26 for a tiny little tube from my vet. No more itchy crusty eyelids. They sleep better too.This humidifier is easy to use, clean and refill. Just be sure follow the instructions. I haven't had any of the problems that others have reported so far. I'm using tap water from our well and even though we have hard water, the humidifier hasn't discolored or developed mold or deposits anywhere. Following the cleaning directions is important too. I'm glad I didn't throw it away!

J’avais acheté un autre modèle d’Amazon, hyper efficace et joli, malheureusement, impossible d’acheter des filtres de remplacement… très frustrant. Je me suis donc rabattue sur ce modèle, meh… mieux que rien, mais pas génial
