Panacea Products 256409 2 gal True Value Vintage Galvanized Watering Can

I'm very happy with my galvanized steel watering can. I ordered it last summer (end of May) and it got heavy use out in my garden and flower beds well in to fall. Now that it is winter, I only need to use it once a week or so and it is holding up perfectly. Two gallons is just about the right size for me. Any larger, and I probably wouldn't be able to carry it. When I received it, I was a bit disappointed that there was a small chip in the bright red paint. But it was only about half of the size of a dime, didn't have anything to do with functionality and my watering can will be outdoors year round, anyway. After all this time (it has been 8 months) the paint has faded a bit, as I would expect. I really like the vintage Tru-Value logo, too. The can is heavy-duty, well balanced, so it is easy to carry and pour from and water flows smoothly so I don't drown little seedlings. The rosette is not removable, which is not an issue for me, but I did want to point it out. The spout is well supported. There is no leaking, anywhere (unlike what happened with some less expensive steel watering cans I have purchased in the past. I think it was well worth the cost and I would definitely buy it again, if needed.

For a watering can, this is a high price. If all you need is a watering can that functions, you can find for way less. This is a functional watering can that can also be used as decoration. This works for us because I can store it in plain view next to potted plants, fits the vintage garden theme we have going on the patio and it’s ready where I need it when it’s time to water. For us, the higher price was worth it. Great looking and functioning watering can.

This watering can attracted me because of the logo. It looked so RETRO that I decided to splurge and buy it. I didn't realize how much I would love it. It is just the right size and not too heavy when filled with water. I love the way the handle lays down when not in use so it's never in the way. The spray is just perfect for potted plants and releases a good amount of water without overwhelming the pot. It really is the perfect watering can so go ahead and splurge. Why not?

Use this watering can every day. Sturdy, holds good amount of water, provides gentle shower on the flowers.

Best about this garden bucket is it pours evenly which is a big plus compared to others. Doesn't look heavy duty which could be a problem later. Advise to others take good care and don't leave out in the weather with water in it.

After only TWO uses, the side holding the handle snapped off because the screw bent and the washer popped. 2 uses!! AND I HAVE TO PAY SHIPPING TO RETURN IT

I bought this because I find the plastic water cans are just not good enough. I was probably using it for the second time and my wife saw it and that was it for me. She liked the looks of it so much that it now sits on a baker's rack in our kitchen. It really is a nice-looking can.
