For those of us that cant stand "minty fresh" it is a good alternative. The flavor is not strong at all, barely even a hint of grapefruit but that is fine with me because at least it is NOT mint. The mint flavor makes me sick but it is about the only flavor mouthwash and toothpaste companies can conjure up. Even Crest quit making their citrus flavored toothpaste that I loved so much. Unfortunately this product is labeled as a "limited edition" and will likely succumb to the mint mobsters. I am buying up some ahead to make sure I have at least a few months of a non minty reprieve. Hopefully they will continue to make this stuff, its more expensive but I don't care, its a good alternative to "minty fresh" or even worse the "original flavor" that may as well be turpentine.

I got this because I find the mint used in most mouthwashes bothers me. I am not allergic to mint, but I have a mild reaction. I used to use Listerine's Citrus mouthwash, but they discontinued that. When I saw this, I wanted to try it. I like it. I can't say the flavor is recognizable as grapefruit, but it is not an unpleasant flavor -- grapefruit rose'. The big plus for me is there is no mint and to me, it does not have the nasty chemical aftertaste that the mint flavored, zero-alcohol Listerine mouthwashes have. There are two negatives to this product. First of all, it is considerably more expensive. The other Listerine products can be had for anywhere from 15 to 30 cents per fluid ounce, whereas this costs 56 cents. Additionally, this is, by Listerine's own labeling on the product, a "Limited Edition", which doesn't give one confidence it will be around for the longer haul. I might buy this again -- but I will more likely look for an alternative. But it's worth a try for the curious.

As much as I love grapefruit scents, this does not taste very grapefruity or rosey at all, but it's still very pleasant. I have to use the zero alcohol version to avoid that burn, so I was happy this flavor came in zero alcohol. My only complaint is that I wish it came in a larger size. If you compare the larger sizes to this size in price, it's more expensive.

After Listerine stopped making Fresh Citrus (orange flavored) mouthwash, which was the only one we really ever liked or used, I found an orange-flavored Amazon Basics mouth rinse. We liked that one even more, and it was a great price, so we subscribed to it for several years. However, that too has been discontinued. :( So we tried this Rose Grapefruit flavor because it sounded like the closest thing. Can’t tell if it’s supposed to taste like the flower rose or pink wine. Doesn’t really have a grapefruit/citrus taste either. Partner doesn’t like it. I can tolerate it, though it’s super foamy for some reason so I can only use about a tsp. Since my dentist recommended a fluoride rinse, I subscribed to a cinnamon-flavored fluoride rinse instead of this, and it tastes better to me. Still, I sure wish someone would bring back a basic orange-flavored mouthwash that doesn't cost a small fortune.

I despise using mouthwash but really need to as I get older so I started using it again. I love that it's alcohol free and it does not dry my mouth out or burn my mouth like traditional mouthwashes. I actually really like the flavor and it makes me want to use it. My mouth feels totally sanitized after and my breath stays fresher longer when I use it vs when I don't. I would definitely buy again.
